No free passes; sorry. You are responsible for using your head, and just because you cover it over with a religious paint, it does not make BS any less BS.

You're confusing faith with just making things up. Most people do not take seriously or respect "statements of faith" that have no basis at all. However, if someone's holy book says these things, or it comes from some other religious context, that makes it fall more safely under "faith." This is not to say the fact is proven, just that it is actually rooted in something. And I do feel that people should be able to freely believe these things. However, that doesn't mean I can't disagree with them. But there are proper and improper ways of expressing disagreement.

Free will gives us the right to believe whatever we want to. We are obligated to respect a persons right to believe what they choose - that is different than being obligated to agree. If however you believe I should agree with you then I have the right to ask you to prove your belief is valid.

Not everything in the world can be / needs to be explained by reason. What makes you think that our rational minds are not limited?
I recently came across an article in which top US scientist assess Uri Geller. Some of them have thoughtlessly attributed his powers to Psychokinesis or telepathy, but the more discerning among them have humbly stated that they cannot presume to know the source of his ability.

Believing something is different than faith. Faith by its nature can not be proven. What you said a believes and believes can be proven wrong.

sister , the proof lies in the ones who believe, Jesus said my sheep know my voice and a stranger will they not hear, so the only one who needs proof is you, Christians have all the proof they need in there belief, if you don't want to believe it ,, than don't, that's a choice you will have to contend with, but we will tell you and hope you see the proof you need to believe in Jesus, and by faith is the only way you will ever see the proof for yourself.
