Some things are just impossible. They cannot logically exist.

For example the old "triangle/square" analogy, where someone says, if god can do anything, can he make square triangles?

This is a stupid question, of course not. They are impossible!

There is no way to make a square triangle; it’s a contradiction in terms. Squares and triangles are mutually exclusive! Not even "god" could reconcile them.

It is impossible to be all powerful, because some things simply cannot be done.

I've just read an answer to a question about Atheists/Agnostics, the answerer said that non-believers "lead sinful lives".
This isn't the only time I have seen so-called religious and spiritual people making nasty and spiteful comments.
So why do religious people think that Atheists are evil? I'm not evil and nearly all the people I know are Atheists and they're not evil either.
Why do people think that Atheists are incapable of love and compassion? I love my family and friends very much and I'm always nice to people when I meet them. I regularly donate money to charity and I have given blood before. I never hurt people, I don't steal, I don't have loads of one-night stands and I try to be a good person wherever I go.
So why do you think that we are all evil and sinful because we don't believe in God?

By all accounts, none of the stars and planets should be here, much less us. This is the finding of the finest of sciences;physics.

I'm just curious about the rationale behind believing in this highly improbable accident, as being all there is.

Things have gotten quite intense here for the last few days, so here's a few jokes to end the weekend right.

A new flood was predicted and nothing could prevent it. In three days, the waters would wipe out the world. The Dalai Lama appeared on worldwide media and pleaded with humanity to follow Buddhist teachings to find nirvanain the wake of the disaster. The pope issued a similar message, saying, "It is still not too late to accept Jesus are your Savior." The chief rabbi of Jerusalem took a slightly different approach: "My people," he said, "we have three days to learn to live under water."

Shalom Airlines hired a wonderful Yiddishe mama to handle their public relations. Her first assignment was to write the cabin notices, which she did:

FASTEN YOUR SEAT BELTS
NO SMOKING
EAT A PIECE FRUIT

I have this theory that sin effects the environment. I don't know why I think this I just do. It seems when ever sin is great in a land the earths environment gets thrown into chaos. I don't think God does this but I think that when sin is practiced it gives powers to Satans dominion and as a result Satan gains control over the weather in that region. I just saw a car get blown into another which hit another car one which badly injured a man. God is in control of everything so why such violence in weather?

Why do Jesus say, " I am the way, the truth and the light, no man can come unto the Father, but by me" ?

....The vital substances in this vast pharmacy of the universe, which are measured on the scales of Divine Determining and Decree of the All-Wise and Pre-Eternal One, can only come into existence through a boundless wisdom, infinite knowledge and all-encompassing will. The unfortunate person who declares that they are the work of blind, deaf and innumerable elements and causes and natures, which stream like floods; and the foolish, delirious person who claims that that wondrous remedy poured itself out when the phials were knocked over and formed itself, are certainly unreasonable and nonsensical. Indeed, such denial and unbelief is a senseless absurdity.....

Is it a scriptual teaching or an opinion by the elders in each hall?
I ask because my husband wears a very short, clean beard. He was baptized with it 6 years ago. He has had a beard for over 25 years and truly I think he looks better with one.
In the last few years this has come up several times from other bro's and sis's as to why he wears one?
Our family is strong & healthy in the truth. We rarely miss meetings. He is a very strong reader, they are hesitant to use him as a reader or handle the mics due to his beard.
He is given mowing and other duties though.
We are very confused.
Is this scriptual or not? One brother said to go by the pictures in the WT. Hubby's comment is that all the men of old wore beards, including Jesus.
It is also our understanding that depending on where you attend meetings (such as Alaska) this is approached differently.
If Jehovah wants it, he will do it immediately.
He doesn't want to resent doing it to pls "men".
Serious question, Help.

I mean, the fact that we can't say "Merry Christmas" but we have to say "Happy Holidays" because someone might get offended is, to me, a bit ridiculous. I think everyone should have a right to express their beliefs and opinions without being judged or told to be quiet. I also think it is a little pathetic that people are getting offended because it says "In God We Trust" on our currency and it says God in the pledge of allegiance. Does anyone else agree with that and think that we should be able to express our beliefs without getting in trouble?

Probably it sounds like a vague or ridiculous question for some of you. However, it is sad that if you find out who you were in your ''previous life'', you would know how to break a chain or infinite circle where you're repeating your mistakes over and over.
Please, answer me without laughs but with at least some tolerance and respect.

even eat with sinners(ppl who continualy sin not just one or two)or unrepentant sinners such as:

(1Cor5:11-13-11 )But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner—not even to eat with such a person.
12 For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? 13 But those who are outside God judges. Therefore “put away from yourselves the evil person.”

(Numbers16:26-26) And he spoke to the congregation, saying, “Depart now from the tents of these wicked men! Touch nothing of theirs, lest you be consumed in all their sins.”

(Romans16:17-17) Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them.

Now my question is if this is true why is it so wrong?
Oh and by the way JW are supposed to talk with family members................
