And what if Jesus just rose to the occasion because his mom made him believe he was that special.

You must remember the times. Things were so very different than they are today. You could die just for telling a lie. You also need to know that Mary was engaged to Joseph at the time and therefore lived in his home with his parents. The chances of being with another man were next to impossible. All that aside, the Bible and Christianity, like any other Religion, must be taken by faith. We believe what we can not see and what we don't understand. We can't see the air but we believe in it. Besides, if it were all a lie but believing in the virgin birth and Jesus has made your life a little better than it is all worth it. Go with what you feel in your heart and not by what your head, or any outside force, tries to convince you of. For me, I may not understand all the what ifs but believing gives me hope and strength. I leave the details up to God.

Not a chance. Mary knew all too well what would happen if she was with child by any human. Besides, even Joseph didn't believe her story until God sent an angel to him to verify the story.

Neither did Mary claim to be immaculate. This concept didn't arise in the Christian faith until many years after Mary had died. Check it out at http://www.ccel.org Look up "immaculate conception" in the search box and see the history of the doctrine.

First of all the immaculate conception is not even in Scripture that is a man made tradition about Mary not about Jesus. The virgin birth is about Jesus and is in Scripture. Mary and Joseph are not the ones who related the story. There is no account of them telling anybody about the virgin birth. Christ's birth was prophesied hundreds of years before the event took place. And some of those prophecies foretold the virgin birth going all the way back to Genesis. There are hundreds of prophecies foretelling Christ's birth, life, death and resurrection. And every one of them was fulfilled in Christ just as they had been predicted. So I am afraid your thoughts on this do not hold much water. In other words the argument is full of holes. Merry Christmas.

PS here is something for you to think about. What if it is all true? Are you willing to bet eternity in hell on it without honestly considering the matter for yourself.

Michael, Mary wasn't married to Joseph when she got pregnant. They were betrothed but not yet married.

That question has been asked again and again over the years. The answer is that it says in the bible, that a woman took Mary to a secluded place and checked to see if she was still a virgin. The result was that the woman said she was still intact. There are all kinds of 'what if's' surrounding the bible. I mean, what if the woman lied to protect Mary? What if Mary was drugged and raped, and in her psychodelic haze...was told by the rapist that she was going to birth the Christ child? There are ALL SORTS of scenarios. You believe what you choose to believe. If you believe it was a scam, no one can convince you otherwise. If you believe it's true...no one will be able to prove you wrong 2000 years later.

What if you did not exist? You know? Then this blasphemous question would not be posted in order to effect the weak minds who lack accurate knowledge like yourself.

Armageddon will be a wonderful day. Yes....no more fool board and those promoting what is detestable and not only foolish, but is now on a level of stupidity never seen in the past. No more blasphemy or stupid ones after Armageddon.

What a relief that will be. By the looks of things, Armageddon is not that far off.

What if you were trying to find excuses because maybe you refuse to believe the truth? Is it because the way you live your life is not right in the eyes of the Lord?
Is it too hard for you to live your life righteously?
Did you know that even though you are a sinner, GOD still loves you? Can you imagine sending your only son to die for other people's sins? Could you make such a sacrifice?
God must really love us so very much.
What are you scared of? Why are you holding back?
Submit.
Don't be oblivious to God's love.
Did you know that HE still loves you even though you deny HIM?
I will say a prayer for you to find your way into the light and out of the darkness. -God Bless and Happy Holidays.

Well its not really a question. If she wasn't jesus is the son of god. and if she was just covering up an illegitamate child, well then yes jesus and all of the bible is made up.

unless we go back, is will always be questioned

What if Mary knew the whole story ... and Christianity didn't tell it like it was...
See 'The Talmud Jmmanuel' text. You might find it on the Internet somewhere... if you look hard enough?

Yeah I have actually wondered that. N some of the things written in the bible are now being taken so literally, I start to wonder what the actual meaning was in the first place.

Mary was a virgin (not what you think. A "virgin" in those days meant an unmarried female). Since she got pregnant, her parents wanted her to get married and Joseph agreed.
