Jesus said "You could have no power at all against me unless it had been given you from above. Therefore the one who delivered me to you has the greater sin" (John 19:11)
The Old Testiment recognizes that there is a difference between murder and manslaughter.
On judgement day, you will be judged out of the "book of works".
Two things happen: If a persons name is not found in the Lamb's book of Life, he or she is condemned to hell. Then the book of works will be opened; that determines the individuals punishment in hell.
No matter what sin you have committed, if you turn to Jesus, He can forgive every sin.
God Bless You.

There are. If you look in the Old Testament you see different sins brought different punishments. And if you look at the way Jesus treated people, you see a difference also. He was very forgiving of most of the sins we would worry about, but He was very harsh on religious hypocrisy, seeking to make a profit in God's name, being cruel, being unforgiving, etc.
However, our sinful nature causes us all to be guilty in His eyes. I for one have no trouble acknowledging that, for I have committed probably every sin a person could think of, and if I didn't, it was probably because I never had opportunity to. The "big ones" in the eyes of men were before I came to Christ, but I feel that the "small" ones I committed after coming to Christ were a greater insult to Him.

It all depends upon from what perspective you ask this question. On the one hand, a single sin is enough to disqualify a person from entrance into Heaven without the covering of the blood of Jesus no matter what that sin may be.
On the other hand, the Bible does seem to indicate that God considers some forms of disobedience worthy of greater earthly punishment than others.
Exodus 22:16 "If a man seduces a virgin who is not engaged to be married and lies with her, he shall give the bride-price for her and make her his wife. 17 If her father utterly refuses to give her to him, he shall pay money equal to the bride-price for virgins. 18 "You shall not permit a sorceress to live. 19 "Whoever lies with an animal shall be put to death.
In other words, it appears that God doesn't think that pre-marital sex is as bad as sorcery or bestiality.

Yes, according to the Catholic religion. There are Cardinal, and venial sins. They are listed in accordance to their impact on man's mortal soul. To commit murder is one thing, but to merely have a fleeting thought about "offing" another is quite forgivable. The only unforgivable sin is that of suicide. Why? Because you cannot repent after taking your own life. This is why it is important to confess all sin when in prayer, or in confession. May the love of God be with you always.

there are patently some sins that are greater grievous than others, by nature: "For the wages of sin is dying; however the present of God is everlasting life by using Jesus Christ our Lord." - Romans 6:23. wages are what one works for. as an occasion, employing 5 mph over the fee shrink in a community possibly unlawful and for this reason technically a "sin" yet for sure no way as henious as being a violent murderer.

The word sin is actually a Greek word, I believe, meaning to miss the mark as in archery.
Therefore sin is simply missing the mark of the high calling of God.

Of course. Obviously its alot more henious to be a serial axe killer than a person who drives a few extra miles over the speed limit if they are in a hurry or something minor like that.

I know there is one unforgivable sin, according to Jesus. Blasphemy against the Holy Ghost pretty much damns you to hell for eternity. You can say "F Jesus" or even "F GOD" and as long as you say you're sorry and worship Christ, you're all good. But if you talk smack about the holy spirit, you're f*cked. Permaneantly. No amount of "hail marys" will save you from hellfire.

The funny thing is Christians claim they have the 10 commandments but break nearly every one
1Thou shalt not make for thyself an idol
they worship a man and prophet Jesus
-who they also make a graven images of him
6 Thou shalt not murder
Christians are the biggest murderers in history
7 Thou shalt not commit adultery
lol- adultery is SO rare in Christian societies. All the countries with high AIDs rates are Christian
8 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house
They have invaded ever country in the whole world stealing peoples land and taking their lives and are still doing it (e.g. Bush and Iraq)
