I think more an interlude between nothing and the unknown.

A point to philosophy is the building and development of knowledge. A person's earthly lifespan has no bearing on the matter.

Philosophy is an end unto itself. Some think the same about life, but i prefer Your non-endgame of "eternity."

no nothing is the space between life... See Theory of Eternal Reccurance.. Its not reincarnation its recycling of matter in a scientific way.
