People why do you judge us. are we not all humans like you... we all are sinners. Do we even need to consult science to come to this conclusion? Wouldn’t it be absurd to hypothesize it appeared out in the woods due to trees falling, lightening and erosion?

And if it is absurd to assume the Piano came about by random processes isn’t even more absurd to assume human beings did? Absurd, silly, strange, illogical, meaningless and bizarre!

I’m just so tired of the debate regarding Intelligent Design being treated as science. Of course we could study if life has evidence of design just like we could study if the piano has evidence of design. To say otherwise is just openly dishonest.

However, the design in life is so clearly obvious why bother with ID? Everyone can see this just as clearly as the Piano.

and this god reveals that the abrahamic god was made up by men, and the real god has a completely new set of rules that he or she wants you to live by, would you worship this god or would you continue to worship a fake god? before i get answers from christians saying this will never happen, consider this. are you saying it is impossible for science to prove the existence of a god? this would go against the idea of intelligent design, wouldn't it? or are you saying that whatever god science proves the existence of, it will definitely be your god? in that case what is the point of teaching intelligent desing if it's only going to confirm what is already known? if it's as much truth as say the sky being blue, there's really no point in delving further into the matter, is there?

But it would be completely hubris for me to say that the entire religion is a hoax. But no one can prove that Jesus has ever existed (neither can anyone prove that he has never existed haha).

Please no bashing!

At my work place, there is an individual who is a Jehovah Witness, and I have a simple basic understanding.

Since I am now working closely with this individual, I wish to respect the beliefs.

I understand that a Jehovah Witness, does not celebrate any Religious Sect. Holiday or Birthday’s.
I also understand that a Jehovah Witness, does not wear any religious emblems.
I am also aware to not say, “Bless you”, or “God Bless You”, when a person sneezes.

Although I know this, I do not know as to why.

I feel that it is important for me to RESPECT the beliefs of my co-worker, and the work place is not the place to discuss religion.

Would you be kind enough to assist me so that I may have a better understanding of their beliefs?

I am a Christian, and always hear my fellow Christians attacking Atheists and Agnostics. The people I know who are Atheist/Agnostic, however, are pretty indifferent to God; disbelief is just a small aspect of their lives.
Why do some people think that these people hate God? Does anyone else think it is un-Christian to judge these people? Shouldn't we leave that up to God Himself??

I hear so many people get down about the holidays. I can see why. It's gotten so silly with the fighting over the PC terms and paying 3 grand for an Elmo doll. But I came from a poor military family so the holidays rarely had anything to do with gifts. Its about the lights, and the music and the food and the fire and the family. It's about hot choclate and turkey and silly carold and music. It's about eggnog and that freaking AWESOME french vanilla whipped cream that they only put out once a year (what is up with that any ways?) It's about my grandmothers pies, and sitting in the living room at 5 am with nothing but the tree lights on. It about telling the silly stories that go along with each ornament that goes on the tree (Yeah I have a story for them all, I'm sad)
So what do the holidays mean to you (outside of religion and presents)?

I was raised lutheran and i go to a lutheran church so i should know the answer to this but what is the difference between lutherans and christians.I beleive in god and jesus christ and i know its the same thing christians beleive so I dont know what the difference is except that i am lutheran.
