I have absolutely nothing against Muslims and just as I have my religious beliefs, so do they and they have a right to that. If the UK became an Islamic state, I think I would struggle as I am a committed Christian, and I would find it difficult to be living within Laws and beliefs which do not match my own.

cetainly not. my reasoning is that ANY link between religion and state is fundamentally wrong. government should operate for the protection of and benefit of the people, not serve the interests of any church or body whose motive is power and control over the masses.
oh, and england almost DID become an islamic state. king john (he of the magna carta and the crown jewels lost in the wash) offered england's conversion to islam to saladin the great. saladin refused.
now there WAS a great leader. saladin had christian and jewish advisors and officers, promoted tolerance towards other religions and was very much in favour of interpretation of religious texts rather than the regurgitation as fact, of whatever was written down centuries before.

2,000,000 Muslims have arrived recently into the UK and there is no law to prevent it from increasing to 20,000,000.
Remember the Islamic world has about 1,400,000,000 Muslims and my guess is about 85% want to move to the west to escape.
So to convert the UK and Ireland into islamic states is no problem

You would see a new breed of terrorism.
The only thing Islam has ever given to Britain is the reintroduction of Tuberculosis.

Hold on! Ireland just got rid of Catholic state rule, do you really think we would go backwards again by replacing it with another repressive set of rules?

This would just NEVER happen! Is it a joke? Maybe if we had been shown the decent and civilised side to Islam but unfortunately that bit just hasn't made the news recently.......

It will happen in time because they are breeding faster than the indigenous population. Fortunately it won't be in my lifetime because I would rather be dead than live in an Islamic state.

I think my Anglo-Saxon and Celtic ancestors would freak from their halls with the gods. Some of them died rather than accept the new religion of Christianity being forced on them.
The Saxons and Celts have a bit of a stubborn streak, I don't think anyone would find it too easy to convert them again.
