Do we pay the price without counting the cost?
Would you exchange it for something a little more plain?
Maybe something a little more sane?
Or maybe that IS your vision.
What do you see?

The other day, on Christian TV, a Gospel music musician said that Gospel music, for many, was more powerful than the Gospel itself.

Well written Gospel music led many to listen to the regular Gospel.

Is that Biblical or is that blasphemy so to speak since there are no known recorded songs of Jesus Christ singing Elvis Presley/Johnny Cash Gospel songs, are there?

One of the seldom-discussed traits of High-Functioning Autism is a lack of spiritual belief. A large majority of functional autistics are atheists, agnostics, or otherwise non-religious, whereas 90% of the general population follow some type of religious belief. Autistics, however intelligent they may be, just seem to be unable or unwilling accept religious belief.

Why do you think this is? Since autism and its related disorders are genetic and present at birth, does that mean that they are part of God's plan? Why would God create a condition that physically disables people from believing?

Thanks in advance for thoughtful answers.

Why do Christians, who want to disassociate themselves from a religious problems or scandals, make the claim that other Christians are not real Christians. The following are perfect examples of what I am talking about.

TopPotts - "Just because people say they're Christians doesn't mean they are. Christian means to be like Christ. So those committing crimes are not truly Christians."

Margherita - "Not all Christians are of Christ."

Crabby_b - "These people--the leaders, I mean, are not real Christians."

According to the bible, everyone sins regardless of how godlike they try to be. To be a true Christian, all one has to do is believe in Jesus and God and try to live according to what the bible says or means to them. Just because someone sins, and you all do, or has a different interpretation of the bible, does not make them any less of a Christian. Besides, isn't it a sin to judge others?

What is this myth that all real spiritual paths eventually merge. Point in question the Left Hand Path and the Right Hand Path. The Right Hand Path is the path of union with deity/nature or reality. The Left Hand Path involves Self-Deification or personal immortalization of the psyche. They are not very complementary though they do use similar spirituality technology though with differing intent.
I am LHP and have been so for 20 yrs, I have nothing but respect for my RHP brothers as I feel each path calls those who are suited to it.
So the results are extreemly different, so why is everyone think they are the same. To me it is plain foolishness to assume that there is only one way of acheiving Gnosis a.k.a. Enlightenment.

Many scams have a common theme. A promise of great riches. Yet, there is always an excuse or a reason why you have to give some of your own personal money. You give and give and give in order to get the imaginary promised prize. How much money have you been scammed out of?

If you are Christian, Muslim, Jewish, or any other religion who asks you for money watch these videos and explain to me how the scam is any different?

There r as many religions as many people. There is strictly no Christian, no Islami Muslim, no Hindu or Buddhist. But we all have some faith in something we really believe. So I say all have own tailored religion in which we truly believe. So why so much of hype about religion when we r truly not following any religion. Those who call themselves true Islamic r in fact fanatics. Such people r found in every religion who exploit religious fervor for their own mean goals. So where do we stand with respect to religion, society and humanity at large. I think worst suferer at the hands of so called religious persons has been humanity. All religions proclaim humanity but this is what missing everywhere ? We r badly divided in the name of race, religion and nationality.

Many answerers, pro or con, denied or confirmed a “sexual” link to the act of breast feeding.

Why isn’t breast feeding a sexual act? Indeed the baby derived from a sexual act. Why is breastfeeding pure, and intercourse impure? If a woman who is breast feeding is aroused sexually, is that so wrong? Or if a man viewing the act of breastfeeding is aroused, is that so wrong? Why do we separate, and compartmentalize the act of intercourse as impure, and the breastfeeding of a child as pure; aren’t they inherently linked? What are people’s hang-ups with the sexuality of breastfeeding, or sexuality and sex itself?

How do you explain John chapter 6 The Bread of Life Discourse: v. 54-57 & 60

Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day. For my flesh is true food and my blood is true drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him. Just as the living Father sent me and I have life because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on me will have life because of me.
Then many of his disciples who were listening said " THIS SAYING IS HARD; WHO CAN ACCEPT IT?"

The Eucharist is not a matter of filling our bellies with the flesh and blood of Christ but a way of receiving him into ourselves. Jesus never contridicted himself, he was not a flip-flopper. This is as literal as he ever spoke. How can so many of his claimed followers switch and twist his words to make it acceptable to them? With all else that some Christians claim to believe, why is this so far beyond the realm of possiblity or acceptibility?

I think most Christians would agree that Christ gave much to the world through the way he lived and what he taught about God and the kingdom of God, and also through salvation which was accomplished through his death. Does one have greater importance than the other?
