Well... you can stop dealing with reality and start deluding yourself...because ignorance is bliss... that would be the first benefit.
If you are lonely, you will immediately have a congregation of other lonely people to keep you company.
If you start reading the bible alot, you'll be able to cherry pick the scriptures that will give you reason to feel superior and self-righteous... always a perk for people with low self-esteem.
Whenever life gets hard, you won't have to try to solve your problems, and can pacify yourself with "the next life will be better." Heavenly, in fact.
These are the first few "improvements" that come to mind...

It will improve the lives of those around you. Accepting Christ as you Savior is not a life of self satisfaction but one of servitude.
So as the question this way, how will others lives improve right now if I accept Jesus?

If you were to come to Jesus with the home of improving your life, you would be coming for the wrong reasons. And when you were faced with the promised persecution, you may end up backsliding. The improvements that come from the faith one has in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior are, to name two of many are joy and peace, regardless of what hardships come our way, these gifts we will always have. But you must come to Jesus the right way, a contrite heart, which leads to repentance.

you will have salavation from sin, and God the Father will look at you as His own dear child, because when you accept Christ, His blood covers your sins... and His Father cannot ignore that.
Jesus is the difference between an eternity of condemnation, or eternity knowing the Lord face to face. He invites you to come to the table with those of us who already know how infinitely valuable salvation is.
What i have in the Lord Jesus, I wouldn't cast aside, not even for a minute, and not for every treasure this earth could hold, even if it meant i could pick Jesus back up after that minute... I wouldn't do it... because He could return in that minute, or i could die in that minute... then where would i be for all eternity?

You will feel more secure, because you know that you will have his love to guide you through the hard times and his wisdom to help you do what is right. Also, you will have a key to the Kingdom of Heaven because you believe in Jesus, God's son. How's that for having an improved life?

It's really hard to give a specific, not knowing your situation, but will things like credit card debt disappear? Not instantly, but one might now have the grace to change their ways and get on a plan that they can keep. Will relationships immediately improve? Not likely, but now that the love of God is pouring into ones life, that love will flow out to others. I hope this gives you a realistic perspective.

It won't change instantly....
If you truely accept Jesus into your life then you can expect to be happier in the future.
It might take some weight of your mind, you'll be able to confide in God when you can't in anyone else.
Going to church is a chance to meet more people and further your christian understanding
(depends which one you prefer!)
From personal experience I know I've been alot happier since I accepted him.
Hope this helps a bit,
General M

God will fill that place in your heart that you know is empty. He will live there and never leave you. From that place He will guide you in living a right life for Him. You will know beyond any doubt that He loves you and that you are His forever.
You already have the faith you need to reach out to Him.
Talk to Him.

First of all your sins will be forgiven and you will feel a weight lifted off your shoulders. you will no longer have to deal with your problems alone and you will have received the gift of Salvation. Do it my friend, accept Jesus and strive to live his will and study his word.

You will have assurance of salvation, heaven in your future, and the listening ear of God when you talk to Him in prayer.
Your life will begin to mean something not only for time but also for eternity.
You will become a member of a divine family in which you will participate, learn, help, etc.
You will grow into the person you were meant to be, since you will now begin to listen to God, obey His Word, and walk in His way.
You will be walking in the way of righteousness as opposed to evil, and you will be classified immediately as a saint, child of God and Christian.
