The angel Lucifer rebelled against God because even though heaven was so great, he (Lucifer) did not have the position of highest honor .. his pride / arrogance influenced him to rebel against God.

Cordially,

You can get insights into the rich peoples' lives. They have more than heart could wish, but they never have enough. I read in the newspapers about movie stars getting arrested for drunk driving, for drugs, and other things. If the rich lifestyle is so great, why do they do dumb things?

Heaven is perfect, but in Lucifer's case, being God's top angel (worship angel) was not good enough for him. Satan wanted all the worship for himself. That is when he fell (see Isaiah 14:12-15, Ezekiel 28:12-17. In these cases, the prophets are speaking to the Devil who was within certain rulers).

The Bible is not full of inconsistencies and hate. You'll find such among people who don't know how to love, people who are full of discrimination and intolerance, both among church-goers and nonreligious people.

satan did that out of pride. He wanted to be the head honcho. He couldn't do that so God cast him from Heaven when SATAN "chose" to rebel. Out of spite, and their choice, he took a 1/3 of the angels w/ him. Satan and the 1/3 of the angels that rebelled and were expelled. They did have everything and more. They chose by their actions of their own free will. The Bible's message is never one of hate. But God won't tolerate sin either. There is a huge difference. Also, there aren't any contradictions in the Bible. If so, please tell me. I need to know cause I can't see them. I'm serious, no kidding!

In Islamic beliefs, Satan (Iblees) was a Jinn [created from fire/energy] and not an angels [created from 'noor'/light].

As the Islamic scholar Mawdudi once stated:

"It is noteworthy that God attributes to Himself all that happens in the world as a result of the laws of nature. Since these laws were made by God Himself, the effects which result from their operation are also ultimately due to the will and permission of God. The refusal on the part of unbelievers to heed the call of the Truth even when it is clear
and audible stems from their obstinacy, prejudice, mental rigidity and inertia. It is a law of nature that when a man is not prepared to rise above prejudice in his quest for the Truth, his heart closes to every truth which is opposed to his desires.

I think that a Christain would say that it was because he was power hungry.

I'm not a Christian and belive that he was board because if everything was prefect all the time it alway be the same and with out the bad and sad you can never feel joy or exciment it would get boring

But as i said i'm not a Christian and personally i don't belive a word of the bible.

The Bible doesn't whitewash their heroes stories. The Bible is about a real God in pursuit of real people in a real world....Not the thing legends are made of.

As for Lucifer...why do you question God? You will find your answer to his fall in the reasons that you and I glorify ourselves.

The devil was an angel that God created perfect with freedom of will. The devil chose to become who he is.

Perhaps the same reason a child rebels against their parent. Because no matter how wonderful you might be, there is always someone who disagrees with you. If anything it should prove to you just how closely connected we really are to God

Read Isaiah chapter 14:12-21 for the devil issue.

" 12 “ How you are fallen from heaven,
O Lucifer,[b] son of the morning!
How you are cut down to the ground,
You who weakened the nations!
13 For you have said in your heart:

‘ I will ascend into heaven,
I will exalt my throne above the stars of God;
I will also sit on the mount of the congregation
On the farthest sides of the north;
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds,
I will be like the Most High.’
15 Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol,
To the lowest depths of the Pit.
16 “ Those who see you will gaze at you,
And consider you, saying:

‘ Is this the man who made the earth tremble,
Who shook kingdoms,
17 Who made the world as a wilderness
And destroyed its cities,
Who did not open the house of his prisoners?’
18 “ All the kings of the nations,
All of them, sleep in glory,
Everyone in his own house;
19 But you are cast out of your grave
Like an abominable branch,
Like the garment of those who are slain,
Thrust through with a sword,
Who go down to the stones of the pit,
Like a corpse trodden underfoot.
20 You will not be joined with them in burial,
Because you have destroyed your land
And slain your people.
The brood of evildoers shall never be named.
21 Prepare slaughter for his children
Because of the iniquity of their fathers,
Lest they rise up and possess the land,
And fill the face of the world with cities.”

As for hatred, it is not God's intention that we hate one another, but can one blame God for men's own actions? For it is written that we should love our neighbor as ourself (Mat 22:39).

You will find spiritual truths in the book, but the literal reading will only confuse one. Understand that in reality, evil can not displace God and His idea, Christ. So where is "real" evil in this age?
