Do we pay the price without counting the cost?
Would you exchange it for something a little more plain?
Maybe something a little more sane?
Or maybe that IS your vision.
What do you see?

Of course we do, for if not for the price would paradise be worth so much to us?

If we truly knew the price before the vision, would we be willing to pay? I don't think so.

Plain? Our spirits would bore of plain. Pure white on a pure white background? No I cannot see it.

Sanity...sometimes those who see others as insane are nearsighted and without foresight. Maybe those "insane" actually see so much more than we, and maybe they are the only ones who can actually show us what we have missed?

Hehe...what do I see? Such a long vision of paradise to me. There is not enough space in this little box to explain such dreams. Just enough maybe to say there are scents to fill your hearts with fantasy, music that cannot be ignored and must be moved to, and undeniable energy....

Maybe drumming under the full moon, and dancing with the Baron...wouldn't that be unusual?

Our concept of heaven/paradise requires no cost. All that is required is to "Give up what you do NOT want and keep what you do" as you take one step at a time.

However, our conditioned ego can become attached to a vision of paradise that is the opposite of an early painful environment. "Resist not the world" is a practical admonition because we 'get what we resist.'

Reality is mirroring our conditioned beliefs. We literally live by faith. But, that is the failsafe system and path to our unique paradise - the experience of eternal aliveness in the here and now. If we are continually thwarted in our seeking of paradise, it is our beliefs that must change. They are controlling our perception, thoughts, feelings and experience.

I don't know much about the price for "visions of paradise" these days, but back in the 70's, you could get some blotter LSD that would give visions of paradise for up to 14 hours for about $7.

Al....you make me think about your questions too much! Like trying to decipher a mad genius' code. lol but they're good.

Yes, for me, I'm paying a heavy price. I'm so miserable, you know how I am *sad girl* lol, but I choose to live instead of die. I can die right now and let it all end but I can't do it because I believe if I do that I'll end up in even more sadness and guilt- forever. So to get to my paradise I have to endure this sadness/happiness in life to achieve it and hopefully when I die, when my time comes, I'll have peace - forever.

What could be better than paradise? If the cost is giving up adultery, debautchery, and dishonesty, I'll gladly pay the price!

In this world one is still hated and tortured for speaking the truth. I expressed my disappointment with a senior manager at work the other day because of the lies he tells and he said "We can't all love each other James"... I nearly said we could but you don't want to even try.

The Shaman's paid dearly,
losing what was thought to be sane by most,
they traveled to places unseen by the many,
who am I not to pay the price,
I spent so much time collecting.

Paradise?
Paradise does not exist separately from this world. It is, at its purest, a state of mind--entirely achievable within this life.

'To covet the ideal, is to miss out on the real'. :-)

To see the world in a grain of sand, and heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand, and eternity in an hour. :-)
