I don't hate those with beliefs opposed to mine. I can coexist happily with them. The problem usually comes when someone who has a different opinion is hostile toward me or attacks my position or tries to tell me that I am uneducated or naive on the topic. I am happy to have an intellectual discussion, but dislike being attacked.

It seems like some people are so impressed with their own conclusions that they can't possibly believe anyone else has thought it through. You can't call people who disagree with you idiotic or naive or whatever else. There are great minds on either side of the debate. Your best bet is to be a positive example of your position and be willing to discuss the issue nicely -- or keep your mouth shut until you can. At least you won't be one more example of a jerk who opposes their beliefs.

Christians may want to save everyone else, but attacking people and informing them they're going to hell won't accomplish their mission. Atheists may want to prove why they believe there is no reason to seek a salvation, but they won't change the Christian's mind with insults and laughter.

Why do some Christians hate atheists? Atheists (atheism) brings out their worst fears; the fear that they (the Christians) do no really believe in what they preach and they fear that they are not really "saved". (The most common question asked at Wednesday night prayer meeting is "How do I know I am saved?" -- the Christians worry about that a lot. So they have to gather together regularly and tell each other that they are "saved". note: Faith is just another word for "hope". It is easy to have faith when they sit in church and nod and grin at each other and sing songs about their faith. -- then wham !! - an atheist comes along and doesn't nod and grin with them = panic.

I judge people individually, however, If I am to be perfectly honest I do hate Christians as a whole. I also fear them and their influence on society and government. I hate all religion but Christianity has good reasons for me to be hated above the rest.

You mean the best of me in spelling, or in philosophy, or in telling the truth?

I contend all three....

But if it makes you happy, here's today's example of me receiving a righteous Christian beatdown:

He said:

"Ohh I`m sorry for calling you and evolutionist, how about idiotologist. Is that better?"

More of Christianity getting the better of me and other 'Athiest' (sic) here:
