What is this myth that all real spiritual paths eventually merge. Point in question the Left Hand Path and the Right Hand Path. The Right Hand Path is the path of union with deity/nature or reality. The Left Hand Path involves Self-Deification or personal immortalization of the psyche. They are not very complementary though they do use similar spirituality technology though with differing intent.
I am LHP and have been so for 20 yrs, I have nothing but respect for my RHP brothers as I feel each path calls those who are suited to it.
So the results are extreemly different, so why is everyone think they are the same. To me it is plain foolishness to assume that there is only one way of acheiving Gnosis a.k.a. Enlightenment.

I don't think all spiritual paths lead to the same place. You brought up a fine example of where two paths seem to sharply diverge. However more than one spiritual path can lead to union with the Divine. Which I believe is ultimately union with Oneself as an aspect of God. Just that the LHP puts the cart before the horse, in my opinion.

If a left handed person theorizes that the earth is the center of the universe and a right handed person theorizes that the sun is the center of the universe (or vice versa), they cannot both be right.

The diversity of life affords us a wealth of different experiences that all lead us each to God in a unique way. But in the end that God is one God, not defined differently according to each of our own imaginations about what or who God truly is. If Christ is the one path to God, Buddha cannot be.

I agree with the Original Poster's premise, that there are mutiple ways of reaching "enlightenment".

I myself have tried walking through the left path only it wasn't long before I was brushed aside like nothing, and figured I was going to be grounded in reality for awhile longer.

Amazing, you have stumbled upon a truth, at least in part. It is clear that not all paths lead to the same destination. Thus the belief that all spiritual paths eventually have the same results is lie.

(a) Islam is the only way.
(b) Christ is the only way.
(c) LHP is one of the ways.
(d) RHP is one of the ways.
(e) All are correct.

If you think that (e) can be the right answer, then you haven't noticed the exclusive nature of both (a) and (b).

The best way I can explain this is in colors.

We have black on one end

0----------IT----------0

We have white on the other.

In between is every shade of gray you can imagine.

We are all our own shade of gray and are pursuing our own personal paths and relationships with "It".

Ultimately, this represents one organism with many different paths to the center.

There are many paths to IT.

The problem is that they DON'T "have eventually the same results".

Not even close.
