No. Roman paganism was already in steep decline at the time of Christ. That's why you saw all kinds of eastern religions practiced, particularly among the military - most notably Mithraism. But if Christianity hadn't come along, Roman paganism still would have died out and been replaced with something else. In fact, even at the official level it was replaced a couple times - with attempts to reinvent itself, with attempts to institute Stoicism, etc - before Constantine came along.
Peace to you.

The Romans also would have kept slavery, and gladitorial games and women as property!
Without Jesus there would be no salvation, no organizations like Compassion and World Vision, no men like Wilberforce that worked to end slavery in England and the British Empire or men like Abraham Lincoln that ended it in America.... without a saviour and the influence of Christianity you can take the worst areas of the world multiply by 10 and then spread it world wide! Just look at the freedoms in Stalin's Russia or Mao's China hell on earth would be a good description and without Jesus there would be no hope of anyone getting to heaven at all!

My best friend in college sounded just like you...and when he finally got to one of these parties, he said it was hard not to vomit. One very large mangled mess of flesh and body parts that stinks of s-e-x and a-s-s. Oh! and the best part...people didnt seem to care who they were getting with...i mean everyone didnt care...the guys and girls not only didnt seem to be judging the looks because apparently the overweight and physically unpleasing were not excluded from the invitation list...but they didnt seem to care what gender they were either. Dont get me wrong ... girl on girl is cool...but my room mate totally didnt expect all the guy on guy action he observed... Sadly, he was shocked into becoming a wallflower...and he's never been the same.

I'm sure people would have come up with some different mumbo jumbo to give themselves a false sense of meaning and purpose.
