When disfellowshipped or disassociated from the congregation we are cut off from all the others as a safe guard of THEIR spirituallity. Have you ever realized that it is a safeguard for us as well? Not by shocking us back into the religion, but by shocking us into reality. I have never seen things more clear than I have once being away from their control. How about you?!

....MAGICAL MUSHROOMS? The Bible never tells us exactly what manna was and where it came from, but there are many Old Testament passages which describe its physical qualities and conditions associated with its appearance.
Clearly, the manna was something of great spiritual power since the Hebrews treated it with such reverence and even went to such great lengths to see that manna be given to future generations. We must also consider the covenant that the Jewish people held with God which was celebrated through the act of circumcision. Why was this covenant with God associated with the removal of foreskin from infant males. Why not a tattoo, scar, article of clothing or jewelry? Perhaps the answer is that the circumcised penis bears a remarkable resemblance to psilocybe mushroom just before the partial veil has broken away from the mushroom caps and they are at their greatest potency.

your God says that we become ill because of our sins. you also believe that we are all born with the same amount of sin.

well but how come then that some 2 week old babies are more sick than others?

if we are born with the same amount of sins than babies shouldnt be more sick than others as they cant do anything wrong.

so how do you explain this?

In this modern world we live in many couples do not get married. We used to know it as living in sin. The child from such a union was always called a bast**d. Should that term be stricken from religious teaching. We live in a changing world and religion should change with it. I am a married person with grown up kids but it is their world now.

New International:

Matthew 28:16-19

Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

NWT:

However, the eleven disciples went into Gal´ilee to the mountain where Jesus had arranged for them, and when they saw him they did obeisance, but some doubted. And Jesus approached and spoke to them, saying: “All authority has been given me in heaven and on the earth. Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations

Is he like a fallen spirit...?

When we come across inconsistancies... it is important to determine what makes most sense and what therefore is false... and basically as regards Satan and doing wrong, there are only three possible options:

#1. Satan has free will somehow... despite angels, including those who are falling, having no access to do such.
That said, there is no way for them to make the choice to do wrong unless they have the aforementioned "free will".

#2. God makes Satan do evil things... which removes the need for free will, but likewise removes God's omnibenevolance. Oops.

#3. Satan isn't evil and doesn't do evil. Christians might disagree... but Jews would claim that Satan is simply acting under God's will as a means of testing for humans to determine their worthiness... which means he isn't technically evil at all.

So.... putting aside the distinct possibility of all of this being nonsense and neither God nor Satan existing.... WHICH of the above 3 is it?

BAGHDAD, 13 November 2007 (IRIN) - Male gynaecologists are being targeted by Islamic extremists in Iraq as they are accused of invading the privacy of women. Women’s NGOs have raised concerns as there are few women gynaecologists in the country and their male counterparts are scared to continue working.

“Because of the extremists’ religious views, doctors are scared to continue with their work and the number of women gynaecologists is very low and cannot meet the demand,” said Mayada Zuhair, spokeswoman for the Women’ Rights Association (WRA).

“Extremists say that [male] doctors are not allowed to see the private parts of women and two male doctors were reportedly killed last week after leaving their clinics. A message was left near their bodies saying that was the end for any doctor who insists in invading the privacy of Muslim women,”

The Catholic Church often erroneously gets accused of baptizing by sprinkling by the critics of Christ's Church. Of course, that is just another lie about His Church. Is there, in fact, any church that practices baptism by sprinkling?

I have some kind of clarvoyence gift; I'm not really sure what kind of gift it is though. Well anyways; I have visions, I see arua colors when I look into my 3rd eye, I have premonitions, I have a sense of feeling when something is about to happen bad or good to someone, I get the sense of deja-vu to certain things, my gift is becoming stronger when I mediatate, I can see my future happen right before my eyes; when I close them. I don't dream my visions; I have them when I close my eyes. I believe that this gift is from God because I've asked him to send me a sign and he did. I know I have some kind of psychic ability; I just don't understand what kind. Are there different types of psychic abilities out there? The reason why I'm asking this question is because I'm still understanding my gift and how to make it stronger through meditation. I need someone's help on this and possibly some advice on what I need to do to understand my gift and give it a name.

Ethics class is boring...no one asks tough questions or answers if one is proposed. Please help me understand...

If you are living without the thought of eternal damnation or reward of various afterlife scenarios, why do you follow laws (which all have evolved from one religion or another)?

What is your guiding force for ethical behaviour? If there are no eternal consequences, what keeps you from going Ted Bundy or Bonnie and Clyde?

Religions preach self sacrifice for the benefit of others, if you are not religious why do you follow religion based ethics, values, and laws?
