....MAGICAL MUSHROOMS? The Bible never tells us exactly what manna was and where it came from, but there are many Old Testament passages which describe its physical qualities and conditions associated with its appearance.
Clearly, the manna was something of great spiritual power since the Hebrews treated it with such reverence and even went to such great lengths to see that manna be given to future generations. We must also consider the covenant that the Jewish people held with God which was celebrated through the act of circumcision. Why was this covenant with God associated with the removal of foreskin from infant males. Why not a tattoo, scar, article of clothing or jewelry? Perhaps the answer is that the circumcised penis bears a remarkable resemblance to psilocybe mushroom just before the partial veil has broken away from the mushroom caps and they are at their greatest potency.

Don't be silly. The manna from heaven was a prefiguring of the Eucharist, the Body of the Lord Jesus.

Circumcision is a mystery. I am uncut, so I really can't answer that one for you.

Yes, fish are a very spiritual species, and this rises another question. Do they believe that a fisher man is a devil when they get hooked? Obviously a lot of fish will bite the same hook again when a hooker throws them back, but I cant say that humans are much different. We too, are a very spiritual species, even though our reproductive process is a lot different from fish. Biblically speaking I think this does make us gods of fish. Being the spiritual species that they are, they probably know this, and have been taught from generation, to generation that they must act that way when a mediocre god delivers mana from the heavens.

manna was a desert food. one of the few places the psilocybe won't grow is the desert.

a circumcised penis doesn't look remotely like a psilocybe, an erect penis (circumcised or not) can resemble a fly agaric, and certainly smells like one, but never a psilocybe.

even by christian standards this is a confused post.

(there is a much better explanation of manna in immanuel velikovsky's 'ages in chaos').

God was aware of bacteria and the need for hygiene long before man learned about germs. Circumcision was for hygienic purposes.

The composition of manna is unknown. All that matters is that God provided it, and it provided sustenance for the Israelites.

I believe the mana you speak of was bread. I believe that circumcision was the choice, because it was not seen by all. Remember, to be Christian and to be openly so, was against the law of the Countries! Having a tatoo, etc. would have been broadcasting the Christianity........and that would have been a death sentence.

Haw. Back when I was a Christian, I used to think it was something like peanut brittle or something.
Nuts have a lot of protein and protein is good for keeping the body somewhat fulfilled while trekking through the wilderness (desert).
