feel that they have a monopoly on the "Religion & Spirituality" category? Especially where we, Atheists, are concerned.

I have been asked, several times, why I, as an Atheist, am answering questions in that category.

I happen to be a Christian, but I feel it is wrong to knock anyone's belief. I believe in respecting opinions no matter what the subject. I also feel it is necessary to say there is a god, and he still loves you. If you chose not to believe that, how can anyone make you? Our jobs as Christians is to put the word out there, NOT force anything on anyone. The way some of the "Christians" respond to these matters tells me they aren't very good Christians at all.

That is a good question. I have asked why non-Christians answer questions addressed to believing Christians.
When I see a question addressed to non-Christians I don't even look at the body of the question. It's not addressed to me.
But u r right Religion & Spirituality doesn't only include Christians, because athistism is a religion.
Here in America we are allowed to give our opinion whether or not anyone wants to hear it.
Thus when I saw the question asking y do Christians do something or another I look at the body of the question.
But I have already noticed that bashing by both Christians and non-Christians. It bothers me more when Christians call non-Christians stupid or crazy.
Not all people will follow Christ. I wish it weren't true but that is a fact.
God won't make people go to heaven or to hell that is up to them, so who am I to say u souldn't have a choice, me I tall u the truth, but I let u choose.

This is a fair question based on the global nature of this section of YA.

They shouldn't, and they have no right to nor should anyone else regardless of their belief system.

For those that do not understand why Atheists are in this section I have a hypotheses.

Due to Dawkins stance on religion many are compelled to rid the earth of all religious belief therefore they are here for an opportunity to tell believers how much better off the earth would be without a belief in GOD.

Why do you speak for ALL atheists? If you don't, why do you speak out against ALL Christians?

As for me, a Christian, monopoly is a game with little pieces and fake money. In fact, we have a junior version of the game at home.

In this forum, question are asked and answered. You get good and well thought out questions as well as the not so good. Same goes for the answers.
My answer to your question is this...
Do you feel intimidated or picked on?

We have a monopoly? I didn't even realize we were producing a good or service! All things considered, we'd do better to form a cartel with other faiths and then cheat. Although that's why Sadam Hussein invaded Kuwait, so maybe not, eh?

At first I was curious about this same thing because I couldn't imagine what on earth an Atheist would find interesting in this section.

Then I hung around for a while and figured it out...

I guess they think they are special because they are Christians, and can not fathom how any "good" upstanding person could possibly be an athiest, or any other religion, or spiritual thinker. Most Christians seem to think they are the only ones who have it right, because the Bible tells them so. The Bible can be interperated any way you want to.

I don't. In fact, I want the questions from non believers. If there weren't any non believers here, I would have to deal with believers only, which I do as well, but I only have the answers God gives me.

So to answer your question, some might, but I don't.

"Some" Christians are just ignorant enough to know the meaning of Religion and Spirituality, "Some" others are afraid of atheist arguments.

Well Mr.W:
On behalf of christians everywhere, allow me to say you are welcome here.
It is a bit odd to think an atheist has any serious thoughts on spirituality. Its a bit contradictory.
However, if you happen to possess such thoughts, please feel welcome.
Christians should not think they have a monopoly.
