You could travel back in time, find the original authors of the bible, bring them back to the present and have them admit that they made it all up, and you still would not be able to convince them that it is not true. You see religious people make the decision to believe, on their emotional feelings, not logic and rational thinking. When is the last time you have seen an emotional person make the right decision? Was it when the suicidal person jumped? Was it when the angry man beat his wife after finding her cheating? Was it when the student, afraid of failing a test, decided to cheat? Was it when the person decided to believe in Jesus because of a feeling they had in church? The answer to all of these questions is no. Emotions cause us to make irrational decisions, and having faith is just another example of people letting their emotions get the better of them. The reason they hold onto these beliefs so strongly, is because they have others who have made the same mistake, and are backing them up. If the man who had beat his wife for cheating, went to court and everyone told him that what he did was right, do you think he would do the same thing next time? Yes, and he would repeat the behavior as long as he thought he was right.
As long as their are large numbers of Christians, we will never convince them that they are wrong. All we can do is work to make sure their religion spreads as little as possible and stays out of state and federal government. Eventually, as science learns more, Christianity and other religions will slowly be wiped out. I am just sad it isn't something I will see in my lifetime.

Well, if you heard it on the news it must be right!
Not.
Pappos Ben Yehudah was not the step father of Jesus nor was Mesadla Nashaia, the hairdresser, the mother of Jesus as mentioned in the Talmud.
The Talmud was a historicly Vauge script and in the mentioning of Jesus there was speculation that the above reference to Jesus lineage included the above mentioned parents; to remotely attach this to Jesus is reaching beyond what even Catholics would do...

If the Talmud Jmmanuel was true (and its not), it merely moves authorship of the NT from Jesus' disciples to ET's. Would not show that Jesus never existed.

I'm already a Deist, so I already don't believe Jesus was [G]od or the son of god.

No amount of evidence will sway the believer. That's why it's called faith, they need NOTHING but ancient fairy tales.

"With hurricanes, tornados,
fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the "Pledge of Allegiance?"
