Genesis 39:6
“So he (Potiphar) left in Joseph's care everything he had; with Joseph in charge, he did not concern himself with anything EXCEPT THE FOOD HE ATE.”

Why did it concern Potiphar THE FOOD HE (Joseph?) ATE?

ok. im in college and im taking a class on evolution because i wanted to understand what it was. as a christian baptist i felt that if i understood other views better than i could understand why people chose to believe in other religions or views. so anyways, im more confused than ever! besides the fact that my teacher constantly critisizes the bible, she has some good points (which it kills me to say). monkeys are very much like ourselves! she showed us videos and stuff and it's all soooo convincing. how do i stay strong in my religion and get past what i learned? i dont want to pretend that she's completely wrong because i dont think she is. i dont think she's right either. there has to be a middle ground. can anyone help me figure this out (preferably someone who has knowledge in human evolution). thanks for any advice.

...what would you guys think of one that has a picture of Christ on the cross, but instead of the sign above his head reading "INRI", it says "PWND"?

as long as they're not wrapped? Isn't the spirit of the giver in celebration of those holidays? How can calling it something else in your own head (Yearly Bonus, or a "just because" gift) change the fact that they are in actuality Christmas and Birthday presents? I can't understand how this is not hypocritical.

I dated a devout Witness for a while in high school.

looked like a fish or a monkey, or he may have had no physical substance. In any case, man has evolved to what he now looks like, so it does not matter whether the first man looked like a fish or monkey. Why do you agree with this?

* Corinthians 9:20-22: To the Jews I became as a Jew, in order to win Jews; to those under the law I became as one under the law -- though not being myself under the law -- that I might win those under the law. To those outside the law I became as one outside the law -- not being without law toward God but under the law of Christ -- that I might win those outside the law. To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak.

* Romans 3:7: If through my lies God’s truth abounds to His glory, why am I still being condemned as a sinner?

* Philippians 1:18: In every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Jesus is proclaimed, and in that I rejoice.

"And you shall make two cherubim of gold [i.e., two gold statues of angels]; of hammered work shall you make them, on the two ends of the mercy seat. Make one cherub on the one end, and one cherub on the other end; of one piece of the mercy seat shall you make the cherubim on its two ends. The cherubim shall spread out their wings above, overshadowing the mercy seat with their wings, their faces one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubim be" (Ex. 25:18–20).

The other disciples were there, but in at least three examples, only Peter, James (not the brother of Jesus) and John were asked to follow Him to witness the miracles and wonders that followed.

Can anyone give me any idea of where to look to find out why those three in particular were chosen?

Male Christians freely admit they love their father and want to be with him, which is kind of like an Oedipus complex, only gay, and we all know what the bible says about homosexual abominations--does this mean that no man is a real CHRISTian?

Kohlberg's model
Six Stages of Moral Development
Stage 1 : Punishment and Obedience orientation. A person obeys rules and laws because of the possible negative consequences of disobeying."I do not steal bc I might get caught and go to jail."
Stage 2 : Hedonistic Orientation : Anything that satisfies your own needs or interests is considered "right" "If you help your grandmother she will remember you in her will"
Stage 3 : Interpersonal Concordance. Behavior is moral if it helps, pleases, or is expected by others (role fulfillment)
Stage 4 : Law and Order Orientation : Moral behavior consists of respecting authority, doing one's duty, and perpetuating the existing social order. "I obey laws for the good of society"

The disciples did it, Jesus did it, in fact all followers in the first century did it. Where in the Bible did the commandment come that the preaching of the good news were to stop. That most christians didn't have to do that anymore.

We, as a society, all have our own beliefs that we will believe in, and our own beliefs in how we want to live our lives, but what is it about certain religions and followers of those religions, that make them bash others for not believing in what they believe in. I am a very free willed person and very open minded, and have found truth, to a certain extent, in certain religions. I am not a person to judge another person because of what they do or do not believe in, but I do pass judgments when another person will think less of somebody just because they don't follow the beliefs they have. We all have our own minds and opinions, and I become saddened each day when somebody will take on such a bias view about somebody that is different then them. I thought the point of religion was to share with, learn from, and embrace yourself to and with others, and not judge them for not being or feeling the same way that you do.
