I am totally lusting over a man at chuch. I am married and will never do anything. However I find myself thinking about him and looking for him at chuch. During mass when it was time to exchange peace, he winked at me and held my hand so gentle. My husband will not let me live this down, he refers to him as winky. My husband knows I am attracted to this man, but he knows that's where it ends. Help!! How do I stop lusting over him. Do I need to change church? Should I talk to a priest about this. I have prayed and although it helps, it's still there.

Thomas new Jesus intimately but still demanded proof. I neither know him intimately, nor did I get the same proof as Thomas did. If one of his followers distrusted how can one who is not a follower be slighted for demanding the same proof?

Hello!! So, I am writing a paper for a class (Anth 332, Shamanism and Healing) on people's experiences of losing a loved one, sensing the presence of those who have passed on, etc. etc. Please, answering even just ONE of these questions would help, as long as you don't mind possibly being quoted in a paper. Thank you soooooooo much!!!!!

1.Have you ever been close to someone who has died? If so, who? How close were you?
2.Have you ever felt a strong sense of the presence of someone who has died?
3.Have you ever had vivid memories of someone who has died?
4.Vivid dreams?
5.Do certain sights, sounds, smells, etc. bring back strong memories of a person?
6.Do certain places (specific or unspecific) give you a strong sense of the dead?
7.Have you ever felt the presence of a person/people that you did NOT personally know? (i.e. being in a place and sensing spirits of people who died long ago, sensing past unrest)

I just finished watching "Judgement Day: Intelligent Design on Trial" on Nova (PBS) which recreated the recent lawsuit against the Dover PA. school board when they tied to sneak "scientific" cretinism, er, creationism into the classroom.

Displayed over and over again was the intellectual dishonesty, and immoral and unethical actions of the religious activists on the school board both in the board meetings and in the courtroom.

How stupid do they think we are? Didn't they realize that this was doomed to failure like all other attempts to being religion into the public classroom? Why did they waste the school board's money fighting this ridiculous lawsuit.

What the hell is the matter with these people?

my professor is a world expert in evolutionary and population genetics. But since evolution is a lie, how should i break it to him, that he has been wasting 40 years of his life, and that all the results he has, and all his published work was for nothing?

Remember that Jesus once walked on this earth as a human for people to witness.

Ofcourse He performed all kinds of miracles to claim Himself as God. He even rose from death and ascended to heaven before the very presence of humans.

What I am saying is that people back then had the privilage to witness actual facts. They saw Jesus and knew for certain that Jesus was God with all the miracles. Therefore they needed no faith and got a free pass to heaven.

Unlike modern people that can only rely on blind faith to believe in Jesus. As you can see, there are countless unbelievers all around the world. No one would choose to refuse Jesus if they actually had the privilage to witness Him like ancient people.

The fact that there are so many unbelievers goes to show that we are underprivileged.

Does this make Jesus biased?

I know some Christians believe the Theory of Evolution and dismiss ID.

Can a Christian believe that humans are descendants of apes and still be a Christian?

What does Mathew 17:21 say in your Bible?

"Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting." Matthew 17:21 KJV.
This is a very important procedure that Christians would have to address in certain situations. This spirit is only driven out of a person by fasting and praying. There is no other way for it to be done, so I think all would realize how important this would be.

"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children." Hosea 4:6

A friend of mine was talking about joining the FCA at school. The FCA, as most probably know, stands for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Why is that there doesn't seem to be a Fellowship of Buddhist Athletes, or Muslim or Hindu or any other religion? Maybe I've overlooked it, but these organizations don't seem to exist.

Do you think this is fair? I know that most people are Christian, but does that excuse that fact that athletes of other religions cannot be a part of an official club that encourages their faith too?

I dont understand how atheists can be satinists if we dont even believe in your religion. Religion is a complex system of corruption and lies used to anipulate people. Also the bible contradicts itself in many ways. It says its a sin to kill but your allowed to kill someone thats against your religion. This person is a religious nut and has no right to call atheists satinists.

I am defining tolerance as follows:
Someone who is religiously tolerant has their religious or spiritual beliefs (or lack there of), and accepts the fact that other people may have different beliefs. A religiously tolerant person practices their beliefs but does not try to recruit others and does not condemn others for not sharing in those beliefs. Why is this wrong?

During world history classes, we were studying Christianity and will do so again in two days. Our history teacher criticized God and the Bible at times throughout the lesson, and I fear this may have hurt the faith of some of my fellow classmates. He indicates mostly how the Bible contradicts itself, and that the Holy Spirit would not have botched its work. Are there any counterarguments to this? Thank you for your help.
