It was indeed an excellent show.
It was unbiased (to keep the creationists from screaming and yelling) and it showed both sides equally. The only thing that made it lean toward the side of the scientists was the incredible evidence that they presented to show that evolution is valid science, intelligent design is not (by one of the creationists witnesses admission, by their definition of what science is astrology had to be regarded as a valid science), and the horrible corruption and lies that were all over the creationists agenda.
Edit: Making it obvious that someone is wrong because of overwhelming evidence is not bias. Evidence doesn't lie. There aren't many links to supporting evidence of ID because there isn't much supporting evidence of ID.
That's okay. Creationists can keep believing in their delusional sky-papa that they talk to when they feel lonely and helps them feel better about themselves, and those of us who choose to actually think can continue on our merry ways.

Let this be a lesson not to send someone else to do something you ought to do yourself... if you had asked him out, you wouldn't have done it in front of a crowd, and the answer would have been just between the two of you. The good thing is, now you know he's a jerk, and you don't have to waste any more time crushing on him. Here's what you do: toss your hair, put your chin up, and say, "Ugh, so rude, who wants to date a jerk like that?!" Repeat every time someone asks you or bugs you about him.

I watched the program also, and I, too, was left wondering about the creationists. Personally, if someone wants to beleive that the earth is less than 6,000 years old and that everything was created in 6 days, I say more power to you, but DON'T try to teach my child in a publicly funded school that modern science is bunk.
What was most disturbing to me were the death threats leveled against the anti-intelligent design people and the fact that the two men responsible for starting the chaos that ensued LIED UNDER OATH IN A COURTROOM OF LAW. When will people like that realize that is behavior like that that causes so many people to become sick of and closed minded toward anything to do with church and/or established religions and/or places of worship? That "Let me dictate what EVERYONE'S moral standards/codes of conduct/thoughts/belief systems etc. etc. should be, but in the vast knowledge that GOD HIMSELF has bestowed upon me I'll pick and choose which ones I'll follow."
They want to take take the Bible so literally in SOME cases, but not so much in others. Are they rendering unto Caesar what is Caesars, or are they taking their W2's to H&R Block and seeing where they can reduce their taxes 'legally?' Are they walking backward toward their chosen temples on their Holy Days, or are they walking in face forward. I mean, if they are going to push this "6 days" thing down my childrens' throats, then I want them to follow the whole Bible literally...

They tried it before with Creationism and it didn't fly.
Then they took old creationist mumbo-jumbo and added a new element, which comprised of the idea that ID should be taught in science class as a DEBATE between evolution and and ID.
The judge saw that ID was no different than creationism, which cannot be termed a theory, but actually is a religious ideology and cannot be presented in science class.
Science works with empirical evidence as it's main engine.
Religion works through faith.
They will try again soon with a different name to the same old ideology, you can be sure of it!

Not all creationist believe that evolution should be abolished from the classroom. I, as a christian, believe both evolution and creationism/intelligent design should be allowed in the classrooms. Our children should learn both issues correctly in reference to its subject and too the issues of creation verses evolution and public opinion. If We, as AMERICANS, are going to educate OUR children correctly and about making if fair; We will never be able to give OUR children free minds to make fair judgment about OUR HISTORY'S/WORLD/UNIVERSE.
When I went to school 35 five years ago, I was taught "Nada" about being open minded about other versions of our own history/WORLD. I was taught only with one sided histories, no science, some math, reading and writing. Our Education System is a JOKE!
NO BODY SHOULD DENY ANYONE OPEN MINDEDNESS AND HIGH STANDARDS OF EDUCATION WITH FAIRNESS OF OBJECTIVENESS TO CO-EXIST.
We are still in AMERICA freedom of speech and freedom of petition/lawsuits. This lawsuit was not stupid for those people, they have their right, just as WE all do.
From the beginning schools and education started from religions, especially here in AMERICA. AMERICANS can't just throw it out the window. It's like throwing throwing out the Old Testament from the Holy Bible.
One needs both the Old/New Testament to be objective about and to learn the True meaning about the Holy Scriptures.
GOD BLESS! AMEN! SHALOM!

Thanks, that sounds really interesting. And I am in California, so it starts right now! So, listen, I am a believer in the lessons of the Bible and in Jesus as my savior. I am also a believer in learning and science. I can't get enough! I feel God directs out actions and sends signs to us. So, I don't think it is a coincidence that I happened upon this particular question at this particular time. Logging off now! God bless you!

Thank you for sharing that. I'm in the Philippines and I don't get Nova on my cable service.
I'll take a look at your link.
I read the article and am dismayed that there are individuals in the US who are so lacking in modern-day levels of acceptance of real science and are still shackled to ancient myths to the degree that they believe in an imaginary designer in the sky and that this nonsense must be taught to impressionable children as valid information.
A disgrace to modern humanity.

I just read ALL of the answers here and it is just AMAZING to me that so many people are sick of the lies that the creationists are spreading...Can any one of those answerers provide a link for me that shows the blind studies that were done in correlation with the 'dating' of ANY of the fossils that corroborates the dates that we are 'fed'? Do any of them even know what a 'blind study' is? Anybody know what happened to the Piltdown man (directly from Webster's Dictionary...Piltdown man, an alleged prehistoric man identified from bones found at Piltdown, Sussex, England, proved in1953 to be a hoax....Don't even need a bio degree to figure that one out!!) , and the 'Index Fossil' of the Coelacanth, and don't even get me started on Lucy or the famous bird/lizard!! Talk about a pack of LIES!!

Maybe what is wrong with creationists is that they have a problem with thier children being taught that thier ancestors were monkeys.. It is important to people that the TRUTH be taught. We were created in the image of ALMIGHTY GOD...and not evolved from some hairy ape... Think about it... if we are descended from apes, how did the apes get here...oh yeah...we all came in with that BIG BANG THING. Do you not see how ridiculous that is? The truth is, this earth was created, everything in it was created, and you and i were also created....we did not just appear one day or evolve from some speck in outer space...everything works in cycles, and in harmony....we are the product of intelligent design...created by a Creator...God.

Didn't see it, I missed it giving the kids a bath, but I was interested in one answers version of "unbiased"....
"It was unbiased ... The only thing that made it lean toward the side of the scientists ... evolution is valid science, intelligent design is not ... and the horrible corruption and lies that were all over the creationists agenda."
