Drawing from his own research, scientific researcher, healer, and popular lecturer Dr. Masaru Emoto describes the ability of water to absorb, hold, and even retransmit human feelings and emotions. Using high-speed photography, he found that crystals formed in frozen water reveal changes when specific, concentrated thoughts are directed toward it He found that water from clear springs and water exposed to loving words shows brilliant, complex, and colorful snowflake patterns, while polluted water and water exposed to negative thoughts forms incomplete, asymmetrical patterns with dull colors. Emoto believes that since people are 70 percent water, and the Earth is 70 percent water, we can heal our planet and ourselves by consciously expressing love and goodwill.

like the power of prayer, the psycology of belief and probability/statistics...do you know about how miracles work? that the chances of an amazing thing happening are small, but that SOMETHING amazing WILL happen is almost certain?
Do you know about cold reading, faith healers and stuff?

If so, can you expand what gave you that enlightenment? Did it come from new understanding of scripture, your own personal relationship with God or understanding of other faiths?

I'm asking this because of the question about infant baptism, would it be wrong of me to ask her to wait until our child is 12 before baptising him catholic? If our son has an atheist ex-catholic father and a catholic mother, shouldn't it be his decision who's faith/belief he will follow? I think baptising a child before they can comprehend what's happening is forcing the religion on him.

Prominent creation scientist Em Adjineri has discovered indisputable proof that evolution is false. She did this by creating straw men.

A straw man is like a snowman, except it is made of straw. Em Adjineri used straw men to determine whether evolution or creationism is a stronger theory. She did this by having evolutionists and creationists try to knock down the straw men, and examining who was successful.

Em Adjineri discovered that when a creationist threw a large rock at a straw man, the straw man fall down. However, when an evolutionist threw a paper airplane at a straw man, the straw man remained standing.

This proves that creationists are better at knocking down straw men than evolutionists. Since the straw men Em Adjineri used were all named "argument," creationists are better at knocking down straw man arguments too.

Therefore, the Bible is true and evolution is false.

Why do "young earth" Christians site this a evidence, when the devout Christian scientist who actualy made the discovery say the bones are 60+ million years old, and says that she is horrified that some Christians accuse her of hiding the true meaning of her data. “They treat you really bad,” she says. “They twist your words and they manipulate your data.”

We all have our limits. I cant stand to see a baby/children hurt by one of their parents or an animal hurt senselessly by the hand of an human (and a few other things, to long to list). But I also know that it is wrong to hate and "my" God said not to judge another to you have walked a mile in their shoes. So, my question to you is "where do you draw the line? where does your love and compassion for another human being end?"

A badly qouted Fernando Pessoa, I remember a passage which went something like, 'How can I believe in humanity, when it mocks religion the most intimate of all my possesions." Am I supposed to respect the works of men like Richaed Dawkins who stab at my fundamental beliefs with no thought of others and their beliefs. We have no absolute proof of Evolution, why do extreme athiests try to sway my opinion by creating a so-called god which is aimed at trying to insult my core-values. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Here we have a guy who is convinced that Earth is the only planet in the entire universe that harbors life. This is a fascinating claim, considering that not even the Hubble Telescope can see most of the planets out there.

(I believe he is a different one himself though dont quote me on that) However Im confused...what difference should it make what religion he is? Church and state are supposed to be seperate...we have a christian in office and we cant get anything passed with stem cell research and more and more people are against abortion for religious reasons now.

My son has been asked to list 3 things Christians believe about God and then say how these things affect their behaviour.

I am an 'non-believer' so am finding it hard to help him and explain things to him. He has looked on Christian sites but wants a more personal response from genuine people.

Can anyone help?

Many many thanks.

Answer from Why do Witches and Christians alike hate this passage:
Witches and sorcerers are by definition devil worshipers. Irregardless of what they tout-white magic, old religion, black magic, or new age; it is all worshiping of spirits other than Jesus. We are no longer a theocracy and therefore witches and heretics won't be burned or hanged. In some ways this is a good thing. Make no mistake though they are evil and worship evil; some of them admittedly do it because of great delusion and deception.

My Question:
I understand the statement above is not the view of ALL Christians. in saying that:
If worshiping and paying tribute to anything/anyone other the GOD is Heresy, Do Christians believe honoring nature and paying homage to your ancestors is evil as well? Would you be guided by the devil if you were leaving offerings to your ancestors and asking them for guidance?

Of all of the religions in the world, it appears Islam is the most unsettling. There appears to be no peace. No matter what geographical area or culture, if it predominantly Islam, chaos ensues. Is this because Muhammad was violent?
