What kind of evolution did you learned?

Evolution doesn't claim that homo sapiens came from monkeys, but rather we share a common ancestor with them...

This statement will never be valid because it tries to come up with a conclusion using two incompatible theories.

If you believe that we were made in the image of God, then evolving from a monkey is out of the equation. So God does not look like a monkey. He can do so though if he wanted to since He's all powerful and stuff.

And if you really think you came from a monkey.. then you're in luck! I just walked past a fruit stand selling half-ripe bananas at a 50% discount! I'll give you the directions to the place if you're interested ;D

Evolution is the only thing athiests could come up with to not be held to the moral standard of God. Darwin noticed micro evolution and wondered if it could be the cause of the origin of species. If you really stop to think about the whole concept, micro evolution happens every day. Macro evolution should be easy to prove. Darwin himself said that it should be in the fossil record, and if it wasn't then his theory would fall apart. The only thing the fossil record shows is an immediate explosion of numerous species suddenly (the cambrian explosion). Darwins theory fell apart decades ago. Athiests only hold on to it so they don't have to acknowledge that there might just be a God and if there is, they are in real trouble.

Anyone who tries to incorporate evolution with the Bible, does not believe the Bible. Even the Jehovah's Witness got it right. If you embrace evolution as some sort of means by which God created man, you are calling God himself a liar. If God was a liar, then he is not God.

We were made in God's image, meaning we were made with a soul and ability to choose right from wrong.

Macro Evolution is a bunch of hogwash, since it is so full of holes that it makes swiss cheese look solid. Don't believe me? Explain the theory without any questions of how. The truth of it is, Macro Evolution is more of a faith than Christianity is. There is proof all over this earth that a Mighty Creator is behind it, while believing that things just "popped" into place, and boom!, life existed, is full of nonsense. You really have no evidence at all that it is possible. In fact, statistically speaking, mathematically speaking, and logically, there's no way there was no intervention from a higher being. So Macro Evolution is FALSE!!!

Evolution is a "theory", nothing else. Creation is described in the Bible and is a concept that many believe in. To many it is a "theory" as well.

What I find intriguing about evolution is that it is a theory that runs counter culture to entropy (a move from a position of order, towards a position of chaos). Entropy is all around us and is supported by credible and knowledgeable scientists using scientific practices. Evolutionists want us to believe that we have risen from a form of lower intelligence to a form of higher intelligence.

Does this sound contradictory to you?

By the way, neither evolutionists or an individual who believes that "we were made in the image of God" (an excerpt from your question), would pose the question you posted.

So if you were looking for a response from both sides, congrats, you likely will get it in spades.

Only Jesus was made in the image of God. John 17-1-26; Col.1:15-17; Rev.3:4;
Gen.1:26; Adam made in their image, after their likeness.

We are born as the offsprings of Adam, born dying and our Lord and savior is Christ Jesus.

Animals were years before man, but domestic animals were created near to man for them.

This is the sort of "argument" made by both fundamentalists(to disprove Darwinism) and by village atheists(to disprove Christianity.) To say that we are amde in Gods Image means not that we are Monkeys or old men with Beards, but rather that we possess rationality and freedom, just as God is supposed to possess.

I think most people who believe in God believe that God created man in his image, the first man being Adam and the first women being Eve, I believe that I am a decedent of Adam and Eve, so how could I possibly believe in evolution and that I came from a monkey??
