I don't agree.
The KJV speaks about unicorns for crying out loud.
Numbers 23:22, 24:3, Deuteronomy 33:17, Job 39:9, 29, Psalm 22:21, 29:6, 92:10, and Isaiah 34:7 speak of unicorns [Hebrew word re'em]. This Hebrew word is today more accurately translated as "wild bull".
The King James version is an obscure, Middle-Ages translation (1611 C.E.), with hard-to-understand words and phrases. Many Protestant religions use the King James version Bible out of respect for tradition. True, this translation was helpful in spreading the Word of God at that time, but there are more accurate translations to be read today.
In 1611, the understanding of the ancient Bible languages was not as well understood as it is today. Over the past several decades, there have been many archaeological findings that have helped scholars understand the ancient languages better. This understanding has been incorporated into modern bibles (hence translations such as the New King James Version).

In a Christian Perspective, the Scripture is the Word of God and God breathed. The King James Version of the Bible can have typographical errors, and can have wording wrong. It is a translation of the original language, and for example in Greek there is something called the Perfect Tense, and it is hard to represent in English.
Truthfully, you will never see the true beauty of the scriptures without seeing the original language. It is hard to see exactly what is being said without it. Not to say that a translation is not good enough. KJV is a great translation, but like all languages, English has morphed over the years. Phrases have died, and common speech has changed.
In other words, God's message is still the same, there can be errors in the translation itself. Look at the fact that there are New World translations (JW's Bible) and Joseph Smith Translation. Any one can morph the Word of God, but the Word does not change.
Otherwise KJV would be identical to NIV. But they aren't.

The KJV is a translation from the original. There are better translations. What do you mean by proven wrong? A group of scholars got together and came up with what they thought was the best translation at the time. There were disagreements and they conceeded for what they thought was the best. A study of the culture and language of the bible is essential for understanding what the authors intent may have been.

I like the KJV- but I don't think it is perfect. Some words do not convey the meaning of the original languages, such as "baptize". But the KJV is nice because many Bible study tools such as Strongs, Brown, Driver Briggs and Thayers have been made to go along with the KJV.
I use the KJV- but I frequently check words out in Hebrew and Greek

Me and my church agree that the King James Bible is the perfect pure word of God. Man has polluted the other bible translations. Sisters and brethren in Christ, please trash all of your modern bible translations, because the devil has deceived you into thinking that the more modern bible translations are the pure words of god. Well they're not. They have PERVERTED the word of god. They took his precious word and PERVERTED it with their stupid NIV, ESV NASB translations and the list goes on and on. The King James Bible is the perfect word of GOD. He used the translators back in the early 1600s to faithfully translate the first English bible in the elizabethan english. Why is also a lot of churches attack against the King James Bible. Why do they also revise the newer translations but not the king james? Why? Why because satan wants to confuse people with all of these newer better bible translations. That's satan's goal is to confuse people. Satan in the name of Jesus Christ keep you filthy hands off of his children. Why didn't all these bible publishers revise or tamper with the King James Bibles. The reason is because they had the cowardly fear just as satan is a COWARD. People also say the King James Bible is hard to understand. Well GET OVER IT THAT'S LIFE AND THAT"S THE REALITY OF THE BIBLE. Ask God to help you he is faithful and just and will help you read through the holy scriptures. The King James Bible is also easier to understand, it's just satan tries to deceive us into thinking it's not. Also a study found that men and women who read from the King James Bible everyday will not sin and much as those individuals who you the other corrupted bibles that came from the Alexandrian texts instead of the Textus Receptus. The textus receptus is one of the best manuscripts and that is why the King James bible is still considered the best. The King James bible endureth forever.

Well it has been proven that books were taken out and that makes me wonder about the stability of the KJV bible. King James apparently tooks books out that he didn't agree with and changed things and so forth. Since this is the main version used, many people believe what is written in it and never question.

Do you mean the translation itself or the fact that it's the Bible and the Bible has never been proven wrong?

Actually the KJV has over 20,000 know mistakes or errors.
The fact that we can know this is a testimony to the quality of Bibles available today.
