all the time. We have the same friends in youth (we're in our 20s) and I see her dropping our kids off at nursery all the time. She's cordial, but very distant. She refuses to have a conversation with me. When we're in a group conversation and I chyme in, she completely ignores me. She is starting to make me think the she is really being a snob. I have no clue why..I've made various efforts. I would just leave it alone and move on, but I can't help but be distracted by this during praise and worship at church....when she is supossed to be a leader. We're somewhat new to the church and I would think she should try to make me feel welcome. I would say she is shy, but she's super outgoing to other people...And she's on stage in front of 100's of people. Should I keep trying, if not...how do I keep it from hindering my worship. If it gets worse should I tell a leader. If I were a new Christian, it might truly affect my spiritual life.

When I was very young my family and I would stay up quite late at night on Christmas eve to hear the Morman chair preform the Messiah by G.F. Handel as these were the only ones to my knowledge that was doing this very inspirational piece at that time. So I now find it hard to understand why some say in this presidential politics time that these people are not christians. So why are some saying these people are not christians

21As coals are to hot embers and as wood to fire, so is a quarrelsome man to inflame strife.

22The words of a whisperer or slanderer are like dainty morsels or words of sport [to some, but to others are like deadly wounds]; and they go down into the innermost parts of the body [or of the victim's nature].

How many of you think this category should be named:: Religion & Spirituality & Responsibilty
rather than just Religion & Spirituality?

Stop blaming / thanking GOD & start taking RESPONSiBILITY

to those of you who will give a stupid answer about Christians or as a Christian save it stop wasting your time typing about how christians do it in my view/experiences Christians are the most iditiotc people you can ever meet so save your time if you are going to blame/thank or just mention your stupid Christian faith

and also don't bother trying to correct me on spelling I WILL BLOCK YOU if you think you are so perfect nail yourself to a cross & Crucify yourself. I'm not a hater of the Christian faith I just don't agree with how many of you think you are better than others just because you are 'christian' as I recall god made the world and the people in it it wasn't you.

Jesus said there were some on his right hand and some on his left. The ones on his left would be left. Are upu simple enough to believe that Jesus had the power to just wash out Gods 10 Commandments to man. The Commandment were for a reason. Jesus said that a sifting would take place. He meant that some would be sifted out. On what grounds woulkd that take place. Anyone who thinks that they can ignor the Commandment and hide behind Jesus is plain stupid. The past history of those people is written in granite at the cemetary.

I'm trying to better understand why people give Satan such little credit. First off, he get blamed for all the bad things that go on in the world. Such as cancer, accidental deaths, etc... but if he were the one doing this then he'd only be shooting himself in the foot. Disasters tend to make people flock towards religion as a solution, so I'd say that Satan creates as little to no havok in the world as he can.

Secondly,He also gets blamed for demonic possessions. Again, this only makes people believe there's a God and become terrified of the Devil. Only if he's an idiot would he do this.

Satan could only get what he wants by making this world a better place. If he really wanted everyones souls, he'd make this place so great that people would become so compacent that there wouldn't need to believe in a God.
or maybe,

he just sends his only begotten son to the earth and tells everyone that the only way to get to God is through him. Hmmm interesting thought.(scratches chin)

i cant see how it makes sense. first of all if you geniunely dont belive in something, you cant truly change your mind, you can only fake belief. that means that if god exists, and e does know everything, he knows you are lying to him to be in his favour, which i think would be much worse than following your own opinion

I do not have faith in. What is wrong with these people? Don't they know that some of us think they are silly? Don't they know that I believe differently. This should be enough to convince them of their folly. I have superior education and experience. My teachers taught me from a young age to scorn people of faith. Movies, tv and the media continue to support this thinking. I am convinced by them that I am right and Christians are wrong. What gives them the right to believe otherwise. Oh, that's right, this is America. Never mind.

In a way that actually follows the rules of logic:

Why are we suppossed to thank god for our blessings (financial gain, healthy children etc) yet when misfortune happens we are not supposed to express any anger or question his existence. We are just suppossed to look at it as a "test"

Example- In the Darfur region of Sudan they would praise "god" when it would rain, yet when a child has to watch his mother get raped and murdered in front of him by militant guerillas contracted by the government it is just the will of men.

So your argument is that god can make it rain but he cant stop man from butchering one another?

Any of you up for registering for a critical thinking class??

In Judaism it is believed that a human receives a soul when it takes its first breath of air upon being born.

Actually, the hebrew word for soul actually means breath. Taking air into the lungs. Not having a soul means you are dead since you are not breathing. Being alive means you are breathing and taking in air.

Soul - Nephesh

Remember, ancient Hebrews did not convey abstract concepts in their language. So their idea of having a soul was the physical act of breathing and being alive.

Certainly a much simplier way of thinking of things.

What do you think? How relevant is this idea today?

Are they backsliders?

God cre8z The perfect place called EDEN but still that crafty devil found his way in and so ALL snakes must suffer by crawling on their bellies because God makes ALL PAY FOR sAtAns wrong. God the creator of everything will make me pay too because I despies his actions of suffering that I have witnessed while alive here on Earth. I see children starving. disease eat at Africa' and the world at WAR because GOD decided that some men are worthy of his LOVE while others are destined for Hell just because they HONORED THEIR MOTHER AND FATHER and followed the religion of their parents. But we THE CHOSEN CHILDREN have been blessed over ALL OTHERS because GOD decided WE ARE HIS CHOSEN CHILDREN! Too bad that the Christians feel this belief about a God that is too big a COWARD to appear before ALL of Mankind and SAVE the lost sould we share this world with. But In The Beginning God knew that sAtAn would turn and....(well he had to he's GOD!) so he took his wrath out on poor lil ol you and me! XO!
