My mother was Catholic (a nice one), and I've been around lots of them in different churches and other settings. They vary widely in opinion and temperament, but the common thread seems to be politeness. Be polite and respectful (now that I think about it, that works around almost any decent people).

PS I don't belong to a religion.

Let's look at this intelligently. This friend of ours (are you sure it's not really you?) seems to think he is entitled to choose for himself where he goes to school. Nope. That's the parents' decision to make. Clearly, your friend sees this as a sort of violation of personal freedom when, in fact, he had no such freedom to begin with.

Okay, he's going to Catholic school whether he wants to or not. Rather than do the truly intellectually honest thing and make the most out of a less than ideal situation (as he sees it, that is), he opts for the least mature course of action of all by deciding to take his aggression out on those who run the school.

Catholic schools typically provide a higher education than public schools and a lot of that has to do with the fact Catholic schools don't mess around when it comes to discipline. And it sounds as if your friend has much to learn in the discipline department alone.

Your friend needs to "man up", as they say.

Pretend to be a JW. They argue about every single doctrine of the Catholic church. He may have to dress in a suit though.

They hate what most adults hate... Ungrateful children that show disrespect for people trying to teach them and help them. I think your friend will do just fine. I have absolutely no doubt that if he counts immature people like you as his friends, he will be a handful for the people who, feed and cloth him, love and fear for him and will probably spend the next ten years cleaning up all the messes he creates in his narcissistic (look it up, its not that big of a word) life.

Dress as a German monk and nail a list of demands to the principals door.

That really annoyed loads of Catholics years ago.

Everytime he's asked a question in his religious studies class, he should simply answer,

"I wash my hands of your false messiah's blood."

That should get him expelled after a few recitations.
