Intuition is exactly our inner voice and many times it is our spirit guide helping us. All good thoughts come from our spirit guide. All bad thoughts come from other influences. It is important to keep our communication opened to our spirit guide so that nobody else interfere.
I try to listen my inner voice. Sometimes it tells me things that I don't follow and I end up in trouble, then I think "I should have listened to my intuition..." but most of the time I try to be tuned in to my intuition.

If you have been saved and Born Again then yes that inner man will guide you but if are just going on gut feelings alone sometimes it can hurt you. As humans we don't always make the right decisions but as a Child of God I can tell you that when I am about to mess up bad the Holy Spirit touches me in a way that I know what I am doing or about to do is wrong. I like the fact that you are a person who follows their inner instincts now just let them lead you to Christ. If you have not been born again I urge you to read the Gospel of John. It is my favorite book of the Bible and slowly leads you to Jesus Christ. If you have never said the sinners Prayer and would like to just pray this and a new life and a new inner man will help guide you thru the world we live in, just pray Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. Intuition is the holy spirit guiding you to make choices but you need to ask in "the name of Jesus Christ". I've experienced warm feelings within my body when I have asked in his name and it may take a few days or weeks but he does answer and you need to trust those inner feelings.

I think we'd all be better off if we listened to that inner voice; however I believe it needs to be balanced with common sense and experience.

I think my intuition has saved my life on several occasions. For me it has been a blessing and a curse.
