As a child in a christian household i was taught to believe in these four things: Santa Clause, Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, Jesus...later my parents confessed that three of them didnt really exist, even though i believed in my heart that they did!!!...why do they continue to tell me that the fourth one Jesus exists, when the other three were exposed as cons????

Because there church told them so and they are their masters. If their masters told them that the Easter Bunny, etc. existed, they would believe it. Organized religion is generally all about getting people to think like them as opposed to letting people think for themselves. It is called brainwashing and there is generally nothing you can do about it for others.

There is an excellent book that details how this is possible. It is "The Hero with a Thousand Faces," by Joseph Campbell. It is a bit difficult to read but very enlightening. I went to Catholic grade school and HS, and was an alter boy. But even when I was a kid I couldn't understand the need for much of the dogma, llike why I had to go to confession, if God is everywhere.
This book will give present FACTS of how each culture develops a religion around a trinity type God. The author has had numerous shows on PBS and was an authority (and Catholic) on mythology. It was clear to me after reading this that what a spiritual teacher once told me was true. He said "Your beliefs get in the way of reality." If we all seek the truth in our own way, we will all be better off.

I don't think so!
But, now you are an adult...and can think for yourself.
Is the existence of Santa Claus plausible?
Is the existence of the Easter Bunny plausible?
Is the existence of the Tooth Fairy plausible?
...is the existence of Jesus Christ plausible?
If you question this last question, then you really need to pick up a really interesting book in a local bookstore - easy and quick to read:

I had these SAME thoughts as you, having been raised in a pseudo-Catholic family. I call it "pseudo" for the benefit of "the faithul few Catholics" of the world...
In any event, I became an atheist.
In college, I sat down to read the Bible for MYSELF to prove it wrong and "save" Christians from their foolish fears.
...go figure!
God had other plans for me...
But READ Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John...and maked an "adult" decision...an informed decision.

I never did understand why parents tell their children about Santa and the Easter Bunny and all that. Even as a Mom, I hated to do it, but did it because it would've made the rest of the family angry. But there is a difference between these characters. They came from fables (except Santa, there was a real St. Nick but he died) and exept Jesus who was real and has the Word to prove it.

I agree with you. Parents should not lie to their kids about Santa or the rabbit or Superman. It leads ot exactly what you wrote - a "logical" leap that Jesus also is just made up.
Tell your kids the truth and you won't ever have to lose their trust or be forced to backpedal.

jesus is as mucha story as the other 3. he may have been real but he is no son of god or special person who rose from the dead or anything. he was just a regular person who offered people answers in the olden days and gullible people fell for what he was preaching

Stop the hate already, its past old. Hate is why this world is past messed up and about to implode any moment.
