Christ himself is not God?

The Jehovah's Witnessess say that, since Christ is the Mediator, he must not be God, for the Mediator must be separate and distinct from those who need mediation ( Should You Believe in the Trinity? 1989,16 )

Questions for non-believers:

1.) Would/ Could there ever be a natural disaster or series of them so immense (e.g., 9-11) that your heart would turn to God for answers?

2.) So the Bible isn't true (you say) but nonetheless, how would you analyze these passages if they were written by an author whose work you did believe:

"And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows."

and

"knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? ...all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation”?

Christianity professes a message of forgiveness and Universal love. Jesus clearly states he did not come to destroy the old tradition, but to confirm it.

Yet, the Book of Joshua is nothing short of the description of a genocide ordered by the Biblical God. How is this possible? Why is such a God more moral than, say Huitzilipochtili of the Aztec?

Deuteronomy, 7,2: And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor show mercy unto them.
Joshua 7,21: And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, and ox, and sheep, and ***, with the edge of the sword.

Isn't it rather hypocritical to constantly find fault with only certain religions all the time? Isn't that more cut-and-dried bigotry rather than intelligent debate?

Paul said, "... for as often as you eat this loaf and drink this cup, you keep proclaiming the death of the Lord, until he arrives." (1Cor 11:26). If Christ arrived in 1914, why do Jehovah's Witnesses continue to partake of the bread and wine? Shouldn't they have stopped in 1914?

Since the WTS currently rejects most of the teachings of its founder, Charles Taze Russell (who was president of the organization from 1879-1916), and since they also reject "judge" Joseph Franklin Rutherford, who succeeded Russell as president from 1916-1942, how can you be sure that in 25 more years, the WTS won't reject the current president, Milton Henschel (1992-present), as they did Russell and Rutherford? What kind of confidence can you have in an organization that rejected its founder and first two presidents for the first 63 years of its existence - over 50% of the time they have existed?!

I thought I would read the Koran to be a lil less ignorant than I was yesterday.. but alas, maybe that was a mistake!

Like I'm seeing Koran [5:51] and I think it translates to

"Believers, take neither the Jews nor the Christians for your friends. They are friends with one another."
