i need 2 know tha meaning of life!

The different religions are the only institutes that promote and encourage good behaviour, compassion, kindness, brotherly love etc. I can understand parents dragging their kids to church in the hope that they will pick up positive messages and turn out better, nicer people than sercumb to social influences of selfishness, greed and corrupt type behaviour. Modern culture doesn't seem to promote caring and sharing behaviour but promotes more negative behaviour.

Where did Jesus first meet Simon Peter and Andrew?

By the sea of Galilee (Matthew 4:18-22)
On the banks of river Jordan (John 1:42). After that, Jesus decided to go to Galilee (John 1:43)

How do u justify this?

This question sparked from a converstaion between a muslim friend and myself.

In your opinion,
What will Islam be like in the world a hundred years from now? Will it be different? Will most people be muslim? Will all nations be Islamic?

How about 500 years from now?
How about 1000 years?

When people say things that anger you, whose is the final choice of whether you get angry at it or not?

So whose fault is it if you are offended?

ON THE POWER OF GOD
"... with God all things are possible." -- Matthew 19:26

"...The LORD was with Judah; and he drave out the inhabitants of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron." -- Judges 1:19

Justify this contradiction!

say for example your pagan brother was getting married and was having a legally binding traditional handfasting ceremony rather than a christian wedding. or what if your sister was gay and marrying her companion in a legally binding wedding?

would you attend and be supportive? why or why not?

-they will say no he let himself killed to save us from the sin of adam.
-none of my business it is not my guilty and also they means that even the babies are guilty, how?
-surely their answers are away from the truth, they only said these answers to escape from what they do.
-and if the people as they said are guilty of what they didn't do,is that god"as they said" couldn't forgive them so he came and let himself killed?then i have ability more than him because i can forgive but he couldn't.
-is that a god?surely no.

I am just curious here. I was raised Christian, but I am not a Christian now.

What would happen if one day in the future it came about that there was no God and that the Bible was a hoax?

Or if Buddha didn't exist?

Or Allah?

Or whatever mighty being you believe in?

I am just curious if you would still believe in your God even if it was proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that they did not exist.

Unless they aren't?

Any Christians or Muslims or Jews here have a take on moral absolutism or relativism?

i.e. Thou shalt not kill? Do you all follow this same moral? or is there an 'except' in there?

Thoughts please?

how come god doesn't send his holy clergy to heaven so they have first hand knowledge of the destination they're trying to sell to the non believers? wouldn't that just be good business sense? after all, if i called you advertising a great deal somewhere but couldn't even tell you what people who had been there thought about it, would you trust me?
