Our human minds can not understand this with out the help of the Holy Ghost.
We are spirit inside flesh. The real you will never die. Your flesh can, your spirit will not. You will live forever either in Heaven or Hell.
The Bible tells us that Jesus is the Son of God. Jesus was concieved by the Holy Ghost. Mary gave birth to our Lord Jesus Christ. This is why in the first chapter of John it tellS us that in the beginning was the Word. That Word was with God.
That Word WAS God.
Word=God
Word made flesh=Jesus (Emmanuel, God with us)
Matthew 1:23-25
23Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
24Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:
25And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.
God became human for us and dwelt among us. Flesh can die, the spirit can not.
Jesus did not cease to exist laying in a tomb. You will not cease either laying in a grave. Your are spirit and will not die.
God was manifest in the flesh and became the final sacrifice for our sins. WE ARE SAVED BECAUSE OF THIS.
ONLY THE FLESH WAS DEAD NOT THE SPIRIT.
The flesh was in the tomb. Durning this time Jesus (the living spirit not dead flesh) went to the heart of the earth and preached to the souls in captivity. Those who had died earlier.
We are created in the image of God. This is how Jesus made us. (Jesus is the Word. All things were made by him. John 1:3) We will never come to a complete end either. We will not cease to exist. When we die it is either Heaven or Hell. To be absent in the body and present with the Lord.
I know while you are reading this it is easy to skim over every answer trying to see if anything make sense to you.
Don't get in a hurry. Think about this scripture when you understand it, it will answer your question.
1 Timothy 3:16
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
This is the Word of God. Understand it and you have unlocked a great mystery. PRAY ABOUT IT.

If you are just a sincere reader-researcher of the Bible you will never ask the question. In the person of Jesus Christ, He has to die in order to show that there is life after death by His demonstration of resurrecting from the dead after three days buried in the tomb. (1 Corinthians 15:1-5) God in Christ gives the message that if you will believe and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord God and Saviour, your sins will be blotted out by His blood in the cross and you can have eternal life (Ephesians 2:8-9). God did not die just for the sake of dying. He died to save. The extent of provision is for all but the extent of application is for those who will recieve Him only. After all the gospel or good news is "Whosoever Will" may come.

Jesus existed with God before the world was created. When mankind messed up and needed a savior Jesus agreed to take on the form of a man so he could communicate God's love to us. God put His son into a virgin's womb, combined with her egg and Jesus was born. He was fully God and yet also fully human.
He lived a sinless life with all the struggles and temptations we face. He trusted God and God helped him to never sin. He willingly took on God's just punishment for all of our sins. He was killed, He spent three days in the place of the dead, where it is said he preached to those in that place, then He was resurrected. He lives forever and is our shepherd, lawyer, teacher and everything else we can need in our God.
If you ask God to communicate with you, He will. He will help you and give you understanding. I've known him now for 37 years. I am married and have two adult children. But, Jesus is my most important relationship, even though I love my family dearly. But, by comparison, Jesus is so much more. I hope you can meet Him for yourself.
Many times we Christians mess up. Sometimes its an honest mistake, sometimes people have just been rotten examples of "Christians". Don't judge God by the failures of some people. Pick up the New Testament, ask God to speak to you and read it. I promise you that God will communicate with you. I want God's best for you even though we will never meet. I don't get "points" for telling you/answering questions. I just want it for you because you asked an honest question and deserve an honest answer. :) Bye

Jesus is our God. We believe that there is one God with 3 different "forms in which He finds expression" The father the son (Jesus Christ) and the Holy Spirit. Read John 1:1-10.
He could die because only His body died and in the end even His body was raised from the dead, by the Father.
His body had to die to serve as a sacrifice for the sins of mankind (blood had to flow to take away the sin). He became, or covered Himself with the body of man to achieve this for man.
This sacrifice is only available for those who choose to invite Him into their lives, and live in relationship with Him as the father and us as His children Joh 1:12

The only way to answer this is to go to the Bible.
A lot of the confusion that comes with the trinity is because of the verse found in John 1:1 "In [the] beginning the Word was, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god."
I don't know what other verses are used to support the belief in the trinity but this is the only one that I've ever heard used for it. However, if you read just a few verses ahead in verse 18, John 1:1 is explained.
John 1:18 reads, "No man has seen God at any time; the only-begotten god who is in the bosom [position] with the Father is the one that has explained him."
The Word they are referring to here is Jesus. Just because he was "a god" doesn't mean that he was "the God." There is a difference. Many religions have different gods. Even for those who are materialistic their god, in a sense, is money. We see in 1 Kings chapter 18, the Isrealites were worshiping a false god named Baal. Elijah recognized this by calling him a god, this doesn't mean that he was God. When Elijah referred to God, he said "the God" and "the true God".
In verse John 1:18 it shows that nobody has ever, EVER, seen God before. It would be illogical to think Jesus is God if nobody's seen God. I've heard people say that Jesus just came in another form but was still God... there's no proof of that in the Bible and if he came in another form, he's still be God, so it doesn't make sense to say that.
Just another point, when Jesus was here on earth, he prayed. He needed help. Just because he was perfect doesn't mean he couldn't sin. Adam and Eve were perfect at one point until they sinned. Jesus, knowing his purpose, didn't want to follow in their footsteps. We see this in John 17:1-26 and in that prayer he says, "the sayings that you gave me I have given to them, and they have received them and have certainly come to know that I came out as your representative, and they have believed that you sent me forth... Righteous Father, the world has, indeed, not come to know you; but I have come to know you, and these have come to know that you sent me forth."
Who was he praying to? Himself? That would be silly. In that prayer he acknowledges God as his Father.
So Jesus is the Son of God.

Jesus overcame death through the resurrection 3 days later. This is what makes him the most unique. Also,
Jesus is God as well as the Son of God.
Think of it like this...
Matter: Father, Son and the Holy Spirit
Atom: Electron, Proton, Neutron
Heaven: Atmosphere, Universe, Kingdom of God
Human: Mind Body Spirit
God: Father, Son, Holy Spirit
Read this: snapshotsofgod.com
If you still don't believe me it's right in the Bible, Genesis 1:26
"Let US create man in OUR image...."
lol - *Matter: solid liquid gaseous
Sorry about that.

If you learn Transcendental Meditation, you learn how to become God - yet remain a human being as well. The two are compatible because although it appears that in our world that there are a multitude of different things, infact there is only one Thing. Although it appears as if there are a multitude of different people, infact there is only one Person. We can all get an inkling of this Reality through love. Love reveals to us that there are no boundaries between us and the loved one.
But it is only through the process of raising one's consciousness that one can fully understanding this.
A teacher of Transcendental Meditation once remarked that he found it hard to believe how quickly after learning TM people became open to these concepts.
There are many quotes to prove that this is what Jesus was about. Too many to enumerate here. But Paul explains at length how Man is the envy of the angels, and of every other thing that God has created, or brought into Being. This is because Man, created "a little lower than the angels", is capable through Jesus Christ of becoming "a son of God". Jesus says, "Greater things than I have done, you will do, because I am going to the Father." How can a person do greater things unless he does the same things, first? Well, not exactly the same things but at the same level, let us say. A brother, a friend.
At the beginning, Christians believed - as Muslims came to believe centuries later - that Jesus was the Son of God, but not God Himself. What happened was that Emperor Constantine convened a meeting of all the heads of all the Churches within his various dominions, and told them to work out a statement of faith that they all agreed upon. I expect he missed out the Thomas Christians in India, however, because they were not within the boundaries of the Roman Empire. And then there was the already flourishing Celtic Church in these 'Blessed Isles', which lived, I believe, in blessed harmony with the indiginous religion, Wicca - they were not represented, I expect. Anyway, all present agreed that Jesus was the Son of God - but not God Himself. All, that is, except one man with an axe to grind. I think he came from Libya. I think his name was Arius or something. Anyway, because he didn't want any Roman Emperor breathing down his neck, he knew that he had to get written into the Creed that Jesus was at least as Big as the Emperor - who was always believed at that time, to be God. So he said, no, I won't sign that. They tried to persuade him. They went on, and on, trying to persuade him. Day after day they went on. In the end Constantine got pretty fed up, and said look you'd better hurry up and come to an agreement, OR ELSE! An Emperor has a lot of work to do. I have heard that sometimes a single member of a Jury in a British Court of Law can turn around the whole Jury, just because he's stubborn. Everyone agrees except him. They begin to wonder if they will ever be able to get on with their lives again. In case you don't know, ALL the members of the Jury have to agree, or they can't go home - or they go home and have to come in the next morning again, to go over the same points over, and over, again. Well, this is exactly what happened in Nicea. In the end they all got completely FED UP and said, Okay, OKAY. Arius wins. We'll all say, "Jesus is God", and then Constantine, who doesn't care WHAT we put will be happy, and we can all go home!
So that's what we've inherited today. And you've NO IDEA what trouble it's caused. It's all a load of nonsence.
The Muslims are more Christian than the Christians. They believe the way the early 'believers' (they weren't called Christians) believed: that Jesus, while being the Son of God, is not the "all knowing God".
Back to Maharishi. The Hindus have always believed that Jesus is an "incarnation of God" - and is always alive.
Somebody asked Maharishi at a press conference a few years ago, can a man become God? Obviously, he had heard that maharishi had said, yes he can. But at the same time it doesn't sound exactly Christian, and Maharishi has always said that TM is compatible with any religion. I held my breath, and Maharishi thought for a little while. "It sounds rather arrogant to say you 'become God'", he said. "It is always in the form of 'a loving CHILD of God'"

I'd be happy to clarify.
Most Christians believe in the Trinity - God the Father, God the Son, and God the holy spirit, or "holy ghost" as it is sometimes called.
Jesus Christ, as he existed on Earth, was God the Son because the God the Father through devine intervention, impregnanted the Virgin Mary. He was crucified, died, and was buried, only to arise again and sit at the right hand of the Father.
His purpose on Earth was to live a sinless life and die at the cross in full payment for the sins of human race. It was his purpose to die, and he died because he voluntarily chose to. That was the fate that was handed to him by the Heavenly Father, and with it, we are given a chance to enter the kingdom of Heaven if we choose to accept Christ, in full acknowledgement that he died for our sins, and to worship him as the Lord.
I hope this helps. Good luck and God bless! :)
