how come god doesn't send his holy clergy to heaven so they have first hand knowledge of the destination they're trying to sell to the non believers? wouldn't that just be good business sense? after all, if i called you advertising a great deal somewhere but couldn't even tell you what people who had been there thought about it, would you trust me?

Why do you think so many Christians have seen Heaven during "near death experiences"? I see no difference.

As for vacations in sunny spots, go right ahead; but when they're 60 and they look 80, I don't want anyone to come crying to me because I still look 30.

Bah, the way most evangelicals sell it is makes it seem like a time-share high pressure sales thing.

"if ya walk out that door and a meteor hits your head and you die, where will ya go?"

Well, I don't know about everyone else but the kingdom is one that will be established here on earth.

It could quite possibly be 'everyone' that is the kingdom.

I'm still studying it all. There is no floaty, white, and poofy city in the sky. That's boring and silly.

Hopefully, if I am right about the kingdom here, it will be established in Caribbean... I've been looking for an excuse to go there.

Anyway, I want to go the Caribbean in a few years. What's a good all inclusive resort system I can use? ;-)

Because heaven is a one-way trip... and the destination has no communication means with the origin.... which would defeat the ability of the clergy to "sell" anything (which would actually be ideal for me, but not for them).

Oh... and lucky you.

Jesus was there in heaven with God before He was born. His witness is just fine for me. He has been there since He died and was resurrected. Two of the New Testament writers experienced "revelations" about heaven and wrote about it - Paul and the Apostle John.

If you won't believe Jesus, you won't believe anyone else. Jesus even told a parable about someone like you. This man was suffering in the afterlife and wanted someone to be sent to warn his brothers so they could avoid his fate. He was told if they won't believe the witness of Moses and the Prophets, whom they already have, they will not believe someone who goes to the afterlife and comes back to report on it. It is true faith to trust someone without demanding proof. If you demand proof you have no faith.

You are in business and so I think you know that many businesses rely on testimonials from people who have had experience with the product. I may not have been to heaven yet, but I've experienced a relationship with Jesus Christ since October 21, 1971. God has been faithful and loving to me in all these years,so I can trust him to take care of my eternal life also. I have entrusted my life and affairs to him and He has never failed me or made any mistake that has cost me/ or caused me a loss. I have failed Him, but He just keeps on loving me and working with me. Jesus' testimonial is more than enough to convince me!
