Honestly, revelation is a jumbled mess. Scary as all get out, and sounds like the ramblings of a mad man. Probably a mad man that was on hallucinigens!..why was it included in the Bible?

Is biblical inerrancy simply the protestants replacement of papal inerrancy? Both of which amounts to idolatry?

The doctrine of reserve was a practice that hid certain biblical ideas from a new believer in order to not shake their faith?

Mix the two together and people over time blindly follow something that is not the original idea.

Suppose through the doctrine of reserve that contradictions or things hard to imagine were explained away or not at all?

Your thoughts?

I'm 100% lost on this one:

Were dinosaurs before BC. or after AD.? Or in between ...or many years before?....

And!!! ..if they were before BC. how is it that it can be possible?.. I mean,... in the Bible it says that God created earth.... and humans.... so dinasours couldn't have existed before that ...right?....

and if it's after all that... does it mean that humans were around while the Dinos?....

or explain to me... i'm so LOST on this one.

At Holy Communion, do the Church of England believe that the bread and wine become the body and blood of Christ, or is this simply a representation? What prayer do they say?

I heard that no Jews were allowed in Heaven before the coming of the Messiah. They were only promised the Holy Land for themselves... Heaven is for Christians babies only! If Heaven is for all babies regardless of race or religion, then why stop them from going to Heaven when the mother needs an abortion??? Jesus would be more han happy to receive any and all the fetuses in Heaven, too!

This question was generated by a response form Silver Tongue... Why can't all the denominations from the christian community unite? I have friends that are Baptist , Methodist, Catholics, Pentecostal and so on, but rarely do we hold functions together. Baptist=Baptist.. Methodist=Methodist etc. Couldn't we feed more hungry, give homes to the poor, reach out to more people who are hurting and so on. Why can't we all agree on just one thing (putting Christ before all others, exalting His name in worship and prayer and studying the Word) and stand strongly united and leave the rest of beliefs to the individual in what they interpret. Wouldn't we touch more? Or can we not let the love of Christ transcend through us all as one united body? Because aren't we all apart of the same body anyways.?

let's say you're a healthy adult in your fifties. you have a son in his twenties who is in need of heart transplant. the only match available is yours. would you end your life to save his? technically this is suicide. if you believe in god, you must believe that he has decided that it is not your time to die yet and that it is time for your son to die. how would you rationalize suicide in an event like this? or would not even consider giving your life to save a loved one?

Me, my first thought was: "Well, no surprises there God is clearly NOT a delusion..."

Than I though about the sad and counterproductive trend to try and make a religion out of science (which is very, very bad for both religions and for science...). And I wonder why Dawkins persues this trend so badly...

It is a fascinating book! Unfortunately it should be made clear that it is not a scientific book at all. It represents Mr. Dawkins's
opinions on the subject and nothing more...

What were your thoughts?
