In a way, yes, evolution does that. God is just a superstition.
We have evolved over millions of years to adapt to our environment. So, our instincts and intellect which help "point the way" are a product of a successful survival strategy. For example, our instinct for forming groups engenders compassion for each other, and that gives us comfort and keeps us safe.

Clearly we have evolved. No educated person can seriously question this.
I have never seen any evidence for any god intervening. All I ever see is nature following the natural laws of physics.
When I throw a rock it always comes back down. I don't see any gods intervening and preventing it from doing so.

Evolution is fact....
I don't see the conflict though in believing in God, and evolution.
You can do both.
The bible was written by very primitive people 2000 years ago, who had almost no knowledge of science. Therefore, they attempted to explain the world around them in the simplest terms possible, so they could try and understand as civilazations have always done.
Evolution is fact. God is the one who designed our world this way. It is the way He wanted it.
Viruses and bacteria evolve before our very eyes.
MRSA bacteria have evolved to become resistant to antibiotics.
The cold virus evolves every year, which is why you likley get colds every year. You can't catch the same cold twice.
Do you choose to believe scientists who have uncovered all the knowledge that we know today?
Or do you choose to believe a tribesman huddled in a tent, scrawling on a piece of papyrus over 2000 years ago?
Whichever you choose to believe, you can still believe in God.

i don't understand why people think that proving evolution gets rid of God, shore if they could prove macro evolution it would falsify some of the bibles teaching but in the end even if we did come from a rock it still had to start with something and that something would have to have been something that wasn't part of the universe because the universe is a closed system that had a beginning. and since the beginning it has been loosing energy so eventually it will run out , that is the second law of thermodynamics. that would have already happened by now if it didn't have a beginning. so God created it and i find no reason to think that he would lie to me about how he did it

Nothing takes us by the hand. Science is only responsible for provided irrefutable proof, (at least so far) that represents explanations of the the progression of the the stages of development for the current geological configuration of our landforms. There is no god, and it is my theory that every existing species now existing on our planet is the result of evolutionary specialization. And most important, our decisions, and the decisions of others are what accounts for the current global situations. It is important to recognize that greed, and money is the provision of power of some over most.
