Oh honey, I'm so sorry. You are strong enough to love someone of a faith other than your family's tradition. You will do yourself no favors by submitting to something you don't believe in. If your bf wants to marry you in church and you don't mind that's all that matters. Your family may punish you in some way, but you won't go to heaven or hell for marrying the one you love in church.
People can be very demanding of us. They desperately want what they think is best for us. In the end, you are the one whose opinion you have to live with.

Maybe your boy friend should consider getting married by a justice of the peace. Though I would guess that anything other than a Muslim marriage would not be acceptable.
When I was an Anglican I married a Catholic in a Methodist church by both a Methodist pastor and a Born Again Baptist pastor. Lots of refusals to go to the church but the reception was over flowing.

Heaven is where God is and hell is where God isn't. We are on earth.
Church or no church is your choice. You are the bride, and the bride's family puts on the wedding. Since you are not marrying within the Muslim tradition, you need to consult with your family about the request (not requirement) for a church. Whatever you decide should be OK with your fiance, if not, you have problems with relationship.
Answer: Do you want to be married in a church?

Why get married in a church if you do not believe in God?
Does your bf go to chruch? Believe in God?
You both cannot get married in a chruch unless you actually want to be joined in Holy matramony in the eyes of God.
That is why people get married in a church.
There are many ex muslims who believe that Jesus was born, became man, suffered and died on the cross to take away our sins and will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead.
If you believe what Jesus did and accept his gift of eternal salvation then ask Him to come into your heart and be your personal savior.
That is the only way you will get to heaven.
No other religion has a God that died to save them from their sins and was reserected and is alive today.

What makes you think you are muslim?
I only say this because you have only said about how this will affect your mums side of the family. What about you? Don't YOU want an Islamic ceremony too? Certain things must be done for the marriage to be accepted in Islam.
edit: I don't mean that in a bad way, and if you do believe in one God and Muhammed (pbuh) is his prophet then ignore my first comment.

(May you walk on the right path)
Try to follow a bit of your mother religion and you will know how much it will satisfy you. Get to know the religion a bit better before you marry. You would definitely want your marriage to be a cherished one. Look, the fact is that the religion with the best guidelines for women is Islam. It is a proven fact. Kindly contact me if for inconveniences.
Thank you

It's your choice to have the marriage (a secular institution not a religious one) sanctified by God. If you choose to have the wedding in a Church so be it. Otherwise I'd suggest neutral turf like a nice banquet hall or something. PEACE!

No, you will not go to Hell for marrying in a Church. It's absurd to think that. God (or Allah) loves you regardless if you're a Jew, Christian or Muslim.

How many people are going on the honeymoon? That's who's opinion matters. I am a mom and would love for my daughter to do everything that I want for her wedding. However she is her own person and I have no right telling her how she is going to do anything.
