I think it's the height of arrogance when people state that something was done as a punishment from God. Even though I am a Christian...I think this is one of the reasons why I am married to an athiest and have so many athiests as friends...the fundies need to STOP declaring what is or isn't an act of God's vengence.

We must address the serious problems of this world, or more disasters like this will happen. The French Quarter was on high ground, which is alway safer when it comes to flooding. God gave us a very challenging world to exercise our spirit, and make us strong, with his guidance. We need to accept the challenge, and start addressing these serious problems, and make for a better and safer future on this planet.
