Because they want us to be scared of the so-called afterlife so we will keep in line whilst we are alive.

Revelation is an act of God where the human beings is at receiving end.You cannot withstand the contact with 10,000 KVA power line, similiarly, it is a difficult process to receive revelation. Those who witnessed the holy prophet of Islam, receiving the revelation, they found him undergoing psychic conditions whom some stupid critic have considered to be an attack of epilepsy. There was not like hallucination as whatever the prophets prophecised proved true against all odds and whatever they taught was the extreme wisdom not a sick man's nonsense. At the beginning of 20th century Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmed proclaimed to Promised Messiaha and told the world from a small village of the world that his message shall reach all corners of the world and he shall followers from every part of the world and his opponents shall fail or perish. In three hundred years Islam shall be the only religion of the world. His community of followers are now spread in 148 countries of the world and his message is being spread by three television station 24 hours a day andtuned everywhere in the world without any parallel. All his followers are poor people oppressed by muslim government with Pakistan leading the show.

In the book of Revelation, the author says, "I was in the spirit on the Lord's day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet" (Rev. 1.11), and this voice tells him to write what he is about to see. This begins the "revelatory" vision that is at the center of the book.

The book contains seven short letters of exhortation to the Christian churches in the seven leading cities of Asia Minor -- Ephesus (2.1-7, Smyrna (2.9-11), Pergamon (2.12-17) , Thyatira (2.18-29). Sardis (3.1-6), Philadelphia (3.7-13). and Laodicea (3.14-22). This region would become a key area for the expansion of Christianity into the Roman empire. But it was precisely this intersection that created the problem for the author, as it called for Christians to treat the Roman administration as agent of the devil. But recognizing this comes from understanding how to read this kind of apocalyptic literature.

Because of intricate and unusual symbolic language, the Book of Revelation is hard for modern people to read. They are not used to this kind of literature. Not so for people in the ancient world who would have been more accustomed to the complex nature of apocalyptic literature. The very fact that an apocalypse was a common type of literature meant that if followed certain conventions of style, and people knew more what to expect from it. Because there were many other examples of apocalyptic writing, these conventions would have seemed less strange and cryptic. Also, apocalyptic literature was almost always a kind of literature for "insiders," that is to say, it was written for people who already knew something of the situation and of the symbols that were used to portray it. So, for the original audience of the Revelation of John, all these strange scenes would have been immediately intelligible. What the modern reader or biblical scholar has to do is to try to read the text with "ancient eyes," by being informed about the way the literature worked and the situation out of which it came.

What sounds scary to you, Sounds and is really happening right now, great and exciting and relieved to many others. Just goes to show you that Satan is ruler of this world and he enstills fear in anybody that doesn't Worship Jehovah God.

This is what is going to happen when the Tribulation starts and most of the Scriptures in the book of Revelation have already been prophesied and many more are to come. John wasn't a mad man he was a prophet to Jehovah God and this what he saw! In Revelation the wicked and the unrighteous and Satan are going to be dstroyed by Jehovah and its being fulfilled as we speak and that is why it is in the Bible and the rest of the Prophesies will be fulfilled until the great day of Jehovah fulfills them and the time is coming closer and closer.

NWT: Bible Topics for Discussion (in the back of the Bible)
Because the World fails to realize the seriousness of the Last days.
2 Pet. 3:3, 4, 7
For YOU know this first, that in the last days there will come ridiculers with their ridicule, proceeding according to their own desires and saying: “Where is this promised presence of his? Why, from the day our forefathers fell asleep [in death], all things are continuing exactly as from creation’s beginning.” But by the same word the heavens and the earth that are now are stored up for fire and are being reserved to the day of judgment and of destruction of the ungodly men.

Matt. 24:39
and they took no note until the flood came and swept them all away, so the presence of the Son of man will be.

God not slow, but gives warning
2 Pet. 3:9
Jehovah is not slow respecting his promise, as some people consider slowness, but he is patient with YOU because he does not desire any to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance.

Revelation Its Grand Climax At Hand! book....we Witnesses are studying this at our Book study!

Revelation 9:20, 21: But the rest of the men who were not killed by these plagues did not repent of the works of their hands, so that they should not worship the demons and the idols of gold and silver and copper and stone and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk; and they did not repent of their murders nor of their spiritistic practices nor of their fornication nor of their thefts.

Rev. 9:16-18: And the number of the armies of cavalry was two myriads of myriads: I heard the number of them. And this is how I saw the horses in the vision, and those seated on them: they had fire-red and hyacinth-blue and sulphur-yellow breastplates; and the heads of the horses were as heads of lions, and out of their mouths fire and smoke and sulphur issued forth. By these three plagues a third of the men were killed, from the fire and the smoke and the sulphur which issued forth from their mouths.

Rev. 9:7-10
And the likenesses of the locusts resembled horses prepared for battle; and upon their heads [were] what seemed to be crowns like gold, and their faces [were] as men’s faces, but they had hair as women’s hair. And their teeth were as those of lions; and they had breastplates like iron breastplates. And the sound of their wings [was] as the sound of chariots of many horses running into battle. Also, they have tails and stings like scorpions; and in their tails is their authority to hurt the men five months.

Rev. 9:1-6
And the fifth angel blew his trumpet. And I saw a star that had fallen from heaven to the earth, and the key of the pit of the abyss was given him. And he opened the pit of the abyss, and smoke ascended out of the pit as the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun was darkened, also the air, by the smoke of the pit. And out of the smoke locusts came forth upon the earth; and authority was given them, the same authority as the scorpions of the earth have. And they were told to harm no vegetation of the earth nor any green thing nor any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. And it was granted the [locusts], not to kill them, but that these should be tormented five months, and the torment upon them was as torment by a scorpion when it strikes a man. 6 And in those days the men will seek death but will by no means find it, and they will desire to die but death keeps fleeing from them.
