Okay, I previously asked if you would be comfortable with the statement "Are you saved by God's Graciousness Alone?" Some answered "yes" but usually with the qualification that the conversion has to be real as demonstrated by "works."

Others answered "no" but with qualifications also that seemed to suggest essentially the same thing.

In both cases, there was still some discomfort with the way I worded the question. Pinkadot in particular seemed very concerned that it might suggest that person could be saved without actually repenting, similar to resurrection.

So now let me ask you a set of far more pointed questions.
Mormons are often accused by other Christians of believing that you merrit salvation through your works. So let me test that stereotype by asking Mormons to answer the following questions. Please *answer the question* and *don't give pat answers* to avoid answering the questions. Feel free to follow up with explanations.

i saw this on tv like a year ago but never got to ask about it.

i saw on this tv show that there was some "bible code" and that it predicts the end of the world to be december 12,2012(12-21-12)

i also saw that the ancient mayans predicte that also

The WAY is the example that was set by the disciples, it was not conjured up by man. Peter was given the keys and he told everyone what they must do in Acts 2:38. After they heard Peter speak they said, "WHAT MUST WE DO?"

Muhammed claimed that an Angel visited him and told him to write and he founded Islam?

Ellen G. White claims she had vision by 3 angels and she founded the Seventh-Day Adventist religion?

Charles T. Russel founded the Jehovah Witnesses?

Charles Wesley founded the Methodist faith?

Joseph Smith founded the Mormon faith?

This verse speaks of women covering their head while praying or prophesising. If we do not cover our heads, we are dishonoring ourselves. It also states that women ought to have a sign of authority on her head. What would a woman use to cover her head..a sign of authority sounds like a crown..Does this still apply today? Why or why not? And do you think this means a veil even though it does not state to cover your face, but only "on her head"? Any thoughts on these verses?

someone asks a question and then berates those who give an answer that is not what he/she wants to hear?

I see it now and then in the "additional details" of the question.

Why ask a question if you are going to complain about the answers you receive?

If man was created in God's own image, and man is fallible, then God is also fallible, right?

Also, why did God create the devil--Why does God create evil? There aren't two gods, are there (one good and the other evil)?

And why is God an absent father figure--what kind of example is God setting for God's children?

I'm so confused. Did God write the Bible and send it down from the clouds? Or did fallible people write the Bible? And if people wrote the Bible, is it a reliable source? Can I also write a Bible and say I was ghost writing for God, who spoke to me from a burning shrub in my back yard?

I'm not trying to mock God or anything, but if he really did create the universe, why in the world did he create 8, or 7 (depending on how you feel about pluto), meaningless planets? They are pieces of junk. Theres no purpose for them. So why create them? Doesn't it almost make more sense to say that they came from a random big bang? That would explain their meaningless existence....

I often imagine God as this great big ball of swirling energy, with no real form or substance.

But then I remember that God created us in His own image. That means God looks like us, in some way. So that makes my image inaccurate.
