HE ANSWERED AND SAID UNTO THEM, BECAUSE IT IS GIVEN UNTO YOU TO KNOW THE MYSTERIES OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN, BUT TO THEM IT IS NOT GIVEN. PAUL WRITES IN GALATIANS 1:12 FOR I NEITHER RECEIVED IT OF MAN NEITHER WAS I TAUGHT IT, BUT BY THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST.

Men rarely (if ever) manage to dream up a god superior to themselves. Most gods have the manners and morals of a spoiled child.

I'm trying to find this verse in the Bible about the power of two or more asking God in prayer and the prayer is answered. I know it's there and I have indexed my Bible but can't find it. I believe it is both in the old testament and new testament and I thought it was in Proverbs but it's not coming to me. Anything referencing the power of two or more would be helpful. Thanks

For reference see the following verses:
"Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men."

"Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man." (Colossians 4:6).

"Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned?" (Luke 14:34).

"For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt." (Mark 9:49).

"And every oblation of thy meat offering shalt thou season with salt; neither shalt thou suffer the salt of the covenant of thy God to be lacking from thy meat offering: with all thine offerings thou shalt offer salt." (Leviticus 2:13).

"But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt." (Genesis 19:26).

If God is the one who brought Israel back by using people, their money and weapons as tools, is there any such thing as free will? Don't forget about the keywords of the question -- "self fulfilled prophecy".

How could God's Promised Land be so weak that it has to rely on the welfare and resources of other nations in order to survive?

i think if there was truly a god, he would be more impressed by people who put their families before him, in stead of people who blindly swear their allegiance to him above anything or anybody else in their lives. it's stuff like this that strengthens my belief that gods, if not invented by monarchs, were certainly used to their advantage. just think of the ways you could have manipulated people of the day by telling them, "god comes first!"

I am a Christian, and a believer in theistic evolution. It has been proposed that Adam and Eve were not alone when they were in the Garden of Eden. If you look at this from an evolutionary point of view, then this is quite possible by my interpretation of Genesis coinciding with evolution. Here are my thoughts. So, life somehow was created on Earth. Fast forward to our "common ancestor." From this point the common ancestor evolved and branched off to form many different species, including humans. I feel that it is possible that the story of Adam and Eve began when humans were intellectually capable of understanding God's plan. Thus, He chose these two in order to start His plan for us. At this point in time, "humans" would have been more "animalistic" compared to what we are now. I am not saying Adam and Eve were animalistic, but maybe they were the "first" humans to evolve intellectually enough to understand God's plan. Maybe God was just "setting the stage" for us by using

Looking for specifics here, people.

An answer to my last question mentioned that sometimes it takes months for a prayer to be "clearly answered".

How does it become clear that God answered your prayer?

I hear people say this a lot and I'm getting kind of sick of having others tell me what I believe and why I believe it. So speak up Christians: how many of you believe just because you're afraid of eternal punishment?

Again I am listening to EWTN live and the Priest is talking about the Internet. He was saying that true Catholics do not bash people who don't happen to believe in the same thing we believe in or even those who don't believe in God at all. We should sincerely answer their questions with respect and kindness. Otherwise we are not being Christ like. We should try and answer their questions as truthfully as we can. Go to the Catholic websites and try and give them the most informative, and truthful answers that we can give them.I have to admit I have lost my temper and said some pretty cruel things, and I am sorry for that. We can sometimes be so ignorant without really realizing it, and speak before we think. Thank you for the wake up call Father.

To Theists (the real name for fundies.): When will you disprove god, lay down your books, and not to be rude, but become logical in thought?
