I'm trying to find this verse in the Bible about the power of two or more asking God in prayer and the prayer is answered. I know it's there and I have indexed my Bible but can't find it. I believe it is both in the old testament and new testament and I thought it was in Proverbs but it's not coming to me. Anything referencing the power of two or more would be helpful. Thanks

Matthew 18:20 states that when two or more are gathered in his name he is present.

Matthew 7:8 states "For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened".

Matthew 18:19 says "I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven"

The thing you have to remember about asking, is that you ask in the Spirit of faith, not only that you have faith that you'll get it, but also that you have the faith of wanting God's will to be done. So while you ask, sometimes you get the answer yes, sometimes wait, and sometimes no. And in all answers, you know that God's will is done. Many will call this a cop out, but to me it's about faith.

Do you mean "Where two meet in my name, there I am also?"

EDIT There's another reference slightly like what you're looking for about a threefold cold and how two is better than one.

. 19 Again I truly say to YOU, If two of YOU on earth agree concerning anything of importance that they should request, it will take place for them due to my Father in heaven. 20 For where there are two or three gathered together in my name, there I am in their midst.”
Is this the verse you are referring to?
