Why was Farrakhan speaking at a Mass in Chicago? What was the purpose of the first interfaith service in Assisi when there is only ONE faith? And why would the Holy Father kiss the Koran? {do not say this is similiar to kissing the ground which some have used as defense}
SHow me that there is not deception in these things} because i had thoughts on returning to the Church, but now ?
Please do not accuse me of bashing or hating Catholics, my husband of 33 yrs. is one, as is some of our children and many of our friends and family.

over and over again?

Seriously, look at any random question about christianity or the Bible and you will see the same standard atheist answers constantly
its just a myth
its all just a fairytale anyways
you have to give up free thinking
you have to give up your will
you have to not read any science books.....

Do the same answers over and over against constitute free thinking?

I am not saying all atheists do it, but lets face it, on this message board, a lot do.
I really dont have any issues with most atheists. I actually agree with a lot of their criticisms with a lot of christians. But how in the world can people that constantly recite these phrases to questions they really should simply ignore, type these standard phrases without seeing the irony?

Also, how did you become a Christian if you are one? What does a JW have to do in order to become one of the 144,00 that will go to heaven? Do you believe in the literal body resurrection of Jesus? If no please explain. Please use the scriptures from the New World Translation and the King James Bible since most people have a KJV but may not have a NWT.
Thank you for your cooperation.

OK, please let the JW's answer this.

Bible was there 600 years before Mohammad wrote Kuran. In Kuran it is written that they should read the Bible and believe it.You claim Koran to be 4th book after bible.
In Bible it is written that God says about his redemption through His son in many verses. Read the following:-
Ps 2:12
12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry
and you be destroyed in your way,
for his wrath can flare up in a moment.
Blessed are all who take refuge in hi

What do you say?

Right now in San Diego they are one of the major organizations donating food, supplies and opening up the church buildings for evacuees.

Are these the kind of things that are going to get us mormons sentenced to an eternity of fiery torture and hell?

Do you really think a loving God just ignores all the good a church or a person does and sends them to hell forever because they didnt quite get it all here on earth?

I can tell you right now I am. And I'm continuously perplexed how seemingly loving, decent Christian people would ever stoop so low as to "accept" that that's a reasonable punishment.

I'll go a step further. I think it's inhumane, selfish, and vicious to think that's a reasonable punishment. If god is so selfish that he needs me to acknowledge him as existing, or else I'm going to roast on Satan's BBQ for all eternity, then I must say, I'm glad I'm not religious.

Maybe I'll be lucky enough to share a cell with Gandhi in Hell, because he's going to hell for the same reason I am right? All I'm trying to say is that reason and compassion seem to go RIGHT out the window with Christians when gauging what's important in life, and folks, that is, and is only, being a kind loving decent human being.

you'd think they would have written a bit more generally rather than addressing the specific problems of specific people in specific churches at specific times and the particular context in which they operated wouldn't you???

When you are writing a letter to someone, you know them, and you know what to say to them. so why do we treat the letters of Paul any differently? he had some important messages for those people in his time. Somehow by the Holy Spirit aren't we supposed to determine the message that Paul was writing to his audience and then extract the spiritual principle from the message and then apply that message to our context? rather than taking one sentence fragment and prooftexting a whole doctrine on it?

Criticising a doctrine, a religion or even a religious figure is different from hating the followers. Why do most muslims don't get this fact?

the number represents an item found in Alkeldama. This Item is of great importance and intrigue to the western world and the church.
Dr Shimon Gibson and Dr James Tabor were working on a tomb (with students) that wasthought to be the Tomb of 'John the Baptist' in June 2000. While they were there a student noticed an opening that seemed to have broken Ossuary outside. Once investigated they realised that it was a first century tomb, with bones and objects still left by raiders, which had revealed the tomb in the first place. The cloth (shroud) and a "Bone Box ( made of Limestone)was carbon dated to the 1stC. Other pieces of Ossuary were taken away to study. In Oct 2002 a man named Oden Golan revealed a piece of Ossuary to a Proffesor of Semitic Language from Sorbonne Andre Lamaire, he translated the inscription as reading " James son of Joseph brother of Jesus" the piece was shown to Gibson and it showed the same markings as the ones he had found in the 1stC tomb......plse wait!

Whatever religion you believe in you will always be outnumbered by people who believe in something different to you (or believe in nothing at all).

Most people end up following the religion they were born into rather than making a rational choice between the many competing religions.

What makes you think that your version of God and religion is the correct one? What do you think will happen to you if you are wrong?

how do we know that "the prophets" wrote the bible and not sum lunatics who were drinking alchohol one day and began to write sum stuff. how do we know God is real or Jesus? this whole thing doesnt make sense. everytime i ask tihs question people always give me the answer "God is real because he made you" or "Jesus died for our sins and that is why u exist today". and one more thing, instead of kicking Lucifer into hell, why didnt he just teach him a lesson like every FATHER teaches a lesson to their kids for doing wrong? I wouldnt want a father who would throwme in a fire. can u answer that? Also if God is so great why doesnt he help those in need like people in Africa and people in the MIddle east and all those in poverty. dont tell me sum bs reason..."uh, God power is only so limited" if his power was limited then explain how he created EARTH in 10 days ......(PS) dont tell me im going through a phase about questioning our existence because i have gone through this many times before!
