how do we know that "the prophets" wrote the bible and not sum lunatics who were drinking alchohol one day and began to write sum stuff. how do we know God is real or Jesus? this whole thing doesnt make sense. everytime i ask tihs question people always give me the answer "God is real because he made you" or "Jesus died for our sins and that is why u exist today". and one more thing, instead of kicking Lucifer into hell, why didnt he just teach him a lesson like every FATHER teaches a lesson to their kids for doing wrong? I wouldnt want a father who would throwme in a fire. can u answer that? Also if God is so great why doesnt he help those in need like people in Africa and people in the MIddle east and all those in poverty. dont tell me sum bs reason..."uh, God power is only so limited" if his power was limited then explain how he created EARTH in 10 days ......(PS) dont tell me im going through a phase about questioning our existence because i have gone through this many times before!

faith to me is like holding on to a rope for your life and hope that you will not fall off or someone will rescue you. And lady who last answered PEOPLE ARENT CURSED FOR THEIR ANCESTORS WRONG DOINGS. THATS the stupidest thing ive ever heard. if their ancestors did wrong then they will burn in hell right? it doesnt have to go to those young innocent children dying of starvation and thirst. Its looking at the son of a murderer and treating him bad becuase his father killed somone but the son was totaly innocent. that comment was plain stupid

Okay, This was actually like 5 questions, but I guess you wanted to save the points. Very frugal. Lets start with number one.
Prophets vs drunks. Okay, Daniel prophesied the destruction of the temple. The rebuilding of the temple, AND the EXACT DAY of Jesus's triumphant entry. Isaiah prohesied that some guy named Cyrus would issue a decree to rebuild the temple. 150 years before he was born, and 180 years before the decree went forth. Isaiah 44.
The prophets prophesied that the Jews would not lose the right to capital punishment until the messiah came. It happened. They prophesied that the messiah would die by crucifixiaon, which had never even happened at the time of the prophecy. It happened.

I could go on and on, but the reason we know the Bible was written by prophets, is because the prophecy came true.

The Lucifer question-Lucifer was not a son of God. He was an Angel. God created Hell for Satan and the Angels that followed him, not for men. In fact, God is so passionate about men not going to hell, that he sent His only son to die on a cross, so that he might rescue them from Hell.

Help those in need- Help them do what? Even they can have the peace and joy found in Jesus Christ. Even they can be saved and await the glorious hope of heaven, despite their circumstance.

I've answered for me, now listen to the word of God. You want to ask Him, listen to the answer
Job 38 2 "Who is this that darkens my counsel
with words without knowledge?

3 Brace yourself like a man;
I will question you,
and you shall answer me.

4 "Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation?
Tell me, if you understand.

5 Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know!
Who stretched a measuring line across it?

6 On what were its footings set,
or who laid its cornerstone-

7 while the morning stars sang together
and all the angels [a] shouted for joy?

8 "Who shut up the sea behind doors
when it burst forth from the womb,

9 when I made the clouds its garment
and wrapped it in thick darkness,

10 when I fixed limits for it
and set its doors and bars in place,

11 when I said, 'This far you may come and no farther;
here is where your proud waves halt'?

12 "Have you ever given orders to the morning,
or shown the dawn its place,

13 that it might take the earth by the edges
and shake the wicked out of it?

Job 40 6 Then the LORD spoke to Job out of the storm:

7 "Brace yourself like a man;
I will question you,
and you shall answer me.

8 "Would you discredit my justice?
Would you condemn me to justify yourself?

1. The prophets and Jesus are real b/c they show up in Historical finds. It's not well known finds b/c the world could care less about anything that supports Christianity. But there are references to biblical figures and events. God being real is a bit harder. It's a conviction of the heart. I believe b/c I've felt his presence in my heart, his presence in my life. That kind of thing is hard to explain and nearly impossible to prove so I'm not even going to try.

2. Lucifer. The bible says that God is our Father...not Lucifers. Angels and Humans are not the same. God did not make angels for the same purpose as man. No idea why, but it just is. And he wasn't just "thrown" into the fire. He was actually given what he desired...to rule. Not as God...he could never be God. But he could rule in his condemned world and in this one.

3. God's power is not limited. so why? This is hard for any unbeliever to understand. It's hard for many believers to understand. No one can fully understand the mind of God but from what we know here at least part of why.

First, the consequence of sin entering a perfect world. Suffering is a consequence of sin, of disobedience to God, as is greed and selfishness. The flood gates were open and everyone got soaked.

Second, the consequence of forsaking Him. Many cultures, many individuals make other Gods. Either spiritual or material.

Third, a drastic measure in getting people's attention, to get His people's hearts turned back to Him. People are known to turn to God when the chips are down and ignore Him when they're living high.

Fourth, He's not a mechanic or an on call medic to swoop in and fix things whenever they start going bad. You need to seek him, build a relationship with Him.

Fifth, Everything that goes on in this world seems pretty major to us, it's our life. but that's our perspective. We're standing in the middle of a forrest and the trees in front of us are huge. But God is eternal and one day so will we be. He sees not only the whole forrest, but the whole world and he has a greater plan than what we are able to imagine.

You will never find the Truth if you approach it with an un-believing attitude. If you sincerely are searching for the Truth, and want to be totally objective, and not just mocking, you will find it.
If you want to know whether or not the Bible was written by people who were drunk or lying, why don't you read it with an open mind??? It's easy to mock something you know nothing about.
I'm not trying to make up your mind, because that is what YOU need to do. You need to know ALL the facts on BOTH sides, and compare them and make YOUR decision based on what YOU find. It's YOUR choice whether or not you choose to believe.
I'll pray that you find the TRUTH, and not just what other people tell you is the TRUTH.
Try reading the Bible before you condemn it! Start with the book of John in the New Testament, and learn all about Jesus, what HE taught, and what HE said. Your destiny is more important than just blindly writing off something you never really researched. Don't you think the most important decision in your life deserves a little honest investigation???

God is real...

Poverty is a curse Deuteronomy 28 read it.
Also yes, those people in Africa may not have done anything wrong, but there are somethings that their ancestors did that they are being cursed for now. And there are somethings that you are doing, that your children and children's children will be cursed for. I don't know if those people over there in Africa believe in God or what, but if they are praying and stuff God will supply them with what they need. For example, by the US going over there and giving them food.

I know God is real because when I pray, he answerer's them. And not these are not just coincidences. I'm talking about stuff that never suppose to happen. God makes away and they happen.

There is something called Faith also. And faith is the substance of things hoped for but the evidence of those things are not seen. This is What God is. He is a faith being. And to be a christian you have to walk in faith.

Think about this. The wind. We don't see the wind, but we know its' there...That's just like God. We don't see him but he's there.

Try going to a church to learn more.

The believers you talk to tell you that because you ask new, weak, or sheltered believers. Those who could really answer those questions don't waste time with people like you, who have already made up your mind and are merely looking to try to diminish the faith of others--we'd rather minister to people who are interested in what we have to say, not just looking for hypothetical loopholes to undermine.

You could learn a lot about Christianity (academically, that is, regardless of your personal faith--again, I'm not looking to convert but to merely teach) by actually discussing it with mature, experienced believers.

Christianity is a one form of way of life. some people agrees christianity works for them. Religion isn't about the real truth but its about personal truth, if you feel good about something, stay with it-survival. otherwise find another one that will suits your way of living - your personal truth.
Where there is life there is balance. The more theres good people the more theres bad ones, some countries get richer some gets poorer. it doesn't matter where you are, just keep yourself in the living side not the death side - ugh! its your choice anyway.

We know that the Bible is of God and not a bunch of drunk men because of the Holy Spirit which reveals the truth to us....just as it was in the account found in the Book of Acts....

14Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: "Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say. 15These men are not drunk, as you suppose. It's only nine in the morning! 16No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:
17" 'In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people....

I almost didn't bother to answering this question but it's a slow night.

Let me break it down to you. Have you read "The Old Man and the Sea?" By Hemingway? Well, that WAS written by a drunk guy, and you can really, really tell....
"I wish the boy were here," "I wish I had some salt for my fish," "I hate the fish," "I love the fish," "I hate the fish," "the fish is my brother," "I wish the boy were here." UGH.

The Bible, on the other hand, is one of the most beautiful and intricate works of literature that has ever existed...even the secular professors will tell you that.

Try reading it instead of bashing it, k?

If you are sincere about wanting answers to your questions, I can answer them for you, but it would be too lengthy to do so here. If you want to contact me and ask me these questions one at a time, I will answer them for you. If you are not sincere and just another one of the smart a$$es that plague this site, don't bother.
