Whatever religion you believe in you will always be outnumbered by people who believe in something different to you (or believe in nothing at all).

Most people end up following the religion they were born into rather than making a rational choice between the many competing religions.

What makes you think that your version of God and religion is the correct one? What do you think will happen to you if you are wrong?

Can you please try and THINK hard before answering. Why do you have faith in YOUR religion and not one of the many others.

I havent seen any rational answers at all yet.

My God is by definition love.
Love is found within myself.
God is a part of my original identity and is me.
I've spent a certain amount of my life believing I was what my ego told me I was and going by a name picked by a human.
We are in fact all manifestations of God and are connected at a deep level.
Should I be wrong then there are thousands of fates as defined by thousands of religions that could befall me.
Any God worth consideration will be tolerant.
If God is of the type to toss me into hell forever for accidentally eating pork or something then I'd rather burn in hell forever than worship him anyway.
The God I worship is love and if that isn't God I hope it's close enough.
May the love of God keep you.

EDIT: You toss around the term rational as if you know what it means for everyone. From a rational view why were you born why do you live and why do you die. There's no math formula for God or faith. If you need proof then find proof of love. Not the feeling of love but the love as we saw from Gandhi. Some things are divine and don't seem rational to the spiritually dead. It's not your fault it comes when it comes.

I've spoke with Pagan, Christian, Islamic, Buddhist, and Hindus at the same time and we all agreed about the nature of God (the Buddhist called it Nirvana but conceded that from another experience it was the same thing.)
If we can all agree then there is logic and rational behind it but have a nature that escapes you yet.

The problem is my friend that you are asking the believers and you are getting replies from the faithfuls rather than the believers. You are not likely to get the answer until you talk to individuals rather than asking the majority view. As you can see from the answers you have received, I am sure if you were serious about knowing the truth you should be more confused then ever now. And if you are an Athiest than you have just got the answers you wanted to listen to and atleast you must be very satisfied with your faith now.

May peace and blessing of Almighty God be on you

If anyone wants to Verify his/her Religion He/She should go back to the main source and that is there Scriptures..... If you see any particular people of believing that Religion… Most of the times you may be misguide. Because most of the people of any religion don’t know what does his/her Holy Scripture really talk about. And there are black sheep in every community.

God sent messengers and prophets throughout the ages with the message of the Unity of God and accountability in the Hereafter. There was no Nation or tribe where God didn’t send any Messenger. The most known Messenger of God are Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jacob, Ishmael, Isaac, Joseph, Jesus, Mohammad (Peace and Blessing of almighty God be upon them all) and many more. God sent message according to knowledge of that people and that time…. But the message was corrupted by time to time … by the people…

Today is the age of science and technology. It is also known as age of logic. Now a day any intelligent person will first test the scripture with the help of modern science and logic, it is natural in this age. Quran is the only scripture that will pass the test sure. 80% of the holy Quran is proved 100% right. 20% is ambiguous. Ambiguous mean science ether can say it right or nether can say wrong because science is not much developed to that stage. Like the term about Hereafter, Heaven, Hell, creation of life etc.

The Holy Quran is the Last and the Final message of God that is unchanged from the time of its revealed 1400 year ago and will unchange till the last day of the World, because God promise in the Quran. Holy Quran is not for any particular Nation or tribe but it is for the whole of the world. And there is only one Version of Quran in the world and that is in Arabic. But translation of Quran can be find in most of the language. Translation is not 100% accurate but it can help by guiding people of different language. If there is any error in the translation that is the error of the translator. You can’t blame God for it.

God almighty say in Quran that He made the Quran easy to understand. So every one should read the Quran at least in there native translation. Than you can Judge. I wish God almighty give you Hedaya to chose the right path… and make profit for your self in this world and the Hereafter.

I'm not so arrogant to believe that I know the god I worship is the correct one. For me to know that I would need an absolute understanding of God, and no one has that.

Your question has the answer right in the title "Question for believers". I believe in my God, I have faith that my beliefs are correct. If I didn't have faith that they were correct, there isn't much point in believing.

If you are looking for "proof" or "evidence" that my God is the correct one, well you are looking in the wrong section.

I believe in the Christian God, I believe in Jesus Christ, I believe he was the son of God, and I believe in the Holy Spirit.

I will not tell you that you are wrong if you believe in something else, but I will tell you that my faith is in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. And that my faith in them are so strong that they are the correct ones for me. My faith can not make them the correct one for you though.

I'm Christian. I've always felt Christianity makes a lot more sense philosophically than any other religion. It would take too long for me to get into the details. Plus, there is a sense of peace and love I feel on the very non-physical level in Christianity that I've never seen in other religions. I don't expect anyone here to fully understand that. You can't unless you've experienced it for yourself.

I don't believe people of other faiths will go to hell though, at least I REALLY hope they won't, but by and large, after studying the religions at length, I don't believe, even remotely that there's any chance the other religions could be right, but that's how everyone feels about their own faith so...

You don't... that is why it's called faith. There can be a lot of things that prove your religion wrong or you see a lot of flaws in the practices that you follow but you do it anyway simply because you choose to believe to be true.

By the concept of God and the teachings of my religion and studying about other religions, I have found that, my religion makes sense. The following are the teachings of my religion:

* The love of the world, is the root of all evils.

* Appreciate five things before five others: Your Youth before your Old age, Your Health before your illness, Your Wealth before your Poverty, Your Spare Time before your hard work and Your Life before Death.

These are some of the sayings of my beloved Prophet.

* I restrain you from three traits of character: Envy, Avarice and Arrogance.

* The true Muslim is the one from whose hand and tongue others are safe.

* Beware of too much laughter, since it mortifies the heart.

* Deal gently with a people, and be not harsh; cheer them and condemn not.

* Much silence and a good disposition; there are no two works better than these.

* The best of friends is he who is best in behavior and character.

* One who does not practice modestiy and does not refrain from shameless deeds is not a Muslim.

* Whoever loves to meet God, God loves to meet him.

* Whosoever visits a sick person, an angel calls from Heaven: "Be happy in the world and happy be your walking; and take your habitation in Paradise."

A bedouin came to the holy prophet Muhammad (s) and asked him some questions.

Bedouin: I wish to be the richest person in the world.

Prophet: Be content and you will be the richest person in the world.

Bedouin: I would like to be the most learned of people.

Prophet: Fear Allah and you will be the most learned of people.

Bedouin: I would like to be the most just of people.

Prophet: Desire for others what you would like for yourself and you would be the most just of people.

Bedouin: I would like to be the best of people.

Prophet: Be good to others and you will be the best of people.

Bedouin: I would like to be the most honorable of people.

Prophet: If you do not complain to any fellow humans you will be the most honorable of people.

Bedouin: I wish to be safe from Allah's Wrath on the Day of Judgment.

Prophet: If you do not lose your temper with any of your fellow humans, you will be safe from Allah's wrath on the Day of Judgment.

Bedouin: What are the worst evils in the sight of Allah?

Prophet: Hot temper and miserliness (i.e. selfishness with money).

One good sign is i am alive. i still in the range of somewhat "truth". being right or wrong is confusing, people have different views - you have to seek the truth. death will proves me false. It Doesn't matter what you think right or wrong good or bad. Everything change. ONLY THE TRUTH REMAINS
