I think the point when most people are offended is when they are put in a group - and a generalization is made about that group.
Personally - I don't think there is any reason to be a critic of anybody's religion. Religion is simply a tool we use to be better people. Choosing a religion is a very personal thing.
I believe it's best to tolerate - well - acatully - accept - and celebrate all religions.
Remember - Extremists are NOT what a religion is about.
Namaste!

Then tell me why a lot of "good" Christians criticize the Jewish people because of no reason at all. You dislike anyone who does not believe like you. You want to put all people into one box, but we do not all fit. No one religion, including mine, is the correct religion. The correct religion is the one that is right for me and me alone. For you it should be the same and stop trying to reshape the world into your image.

As long as you don't hate Muslims (which is a TOTALLY different thing than disliking Islam) then I think there's nothing wrong with being a critic of Islam.
I say the individual counts. I love Muslims, Jews, Pagans, or atheists, as long as they're good people.

Muslims dont use "reason", so appealing to "reason" is a waste. Instead, Muslims are trained to converge on anyone who can be percieved as "attacking their religion". Of course, all thats required is for one Muslim to consider your remarks an attack.
The crazy thing is, everyone in the world understands this implied threat, and just kinda lives with it. Its the most amazing thing, we intuntively understand that theres something very wrong with a religion that teaches it followers to respond like a pack of wolves, or an Italian mob, whenever certain stupid taboos are percieved to be violated. Yet, we do nothing.
Taken together with the fact that they outbreed non-muslims, you simply have to like their odds of world domination in the long run.

Each religion is designed to program each group differently.
Christians are designed for persecution endurance. Islamists are much more sensitive and violent about questioning their faith or beliefs. Global Liberals are the same way.
Defending ones belief structure is normal human behavior, that is why Christ taught against it, due to its inherent destructive nature. Turn the other Cheek is a metaphor to address this very issue.

I am in agreement with this statement.
The only things i hate are.................
A proud look
A lying tongue
Hands that shed innocent blood
A heart that devises wicked plans
Feet that are swift in running to evil
A false witness that speaks lies
And one who sows discord amongst the brethren.
This is what the Lord hates. and man is known by the fruit his life produces.
So whatever your "religion" is if these are the fruits that are in your life i hate these things too! Not the people but the spirit of hate that has them in bondage and held captive.
Shalom and may the Peace and Love of Christ reign in the hearts and minds of All men.

many people are unable, even unwilling to separate to any great extent their worth as persons from the particular things that they believe. religions usually discourage such a separation. so that if you criticise their beliefs, it is like you are attacking them, sometimes it is a physical sensation. muslims are no exception. truthfully i don't think that anyone is immune to this.

They are constitutionally incapable of understanding that fact. Besides, it's against their religion and they'll go to hell if the light shines in.
