I keep have dreams that have anti-catholic people in them. One was this campus minister, that hates catholics to the point that catholics are not welcomed to his events, was chasing me in his car because I was too involved with the RCC and he said I was bad for it (in the dream the campus minister pulled up and saved me). Then I had a dream about CJ, yes CJ- he was comming out of a bar and started fighting with me .. then crusader came over and CJ fled.

What the heck is up with my brain?

I am an Indian and believe in Hinduism. I am studying Chrisitianity to expand my theological knowledge. Hindu scriptures drinking is referred to as one of the five heinous crimes, which include murder and adultery. Yet in Hinduism, smoking marijuana is not a sin. Matter of fact, Lord Shiva, used to go to smokes pounds and pounds of marijuana and go to the Himalayas and deeply meditate.

My question is, I heard that drinking Alcohol in any form is a sin. But I see that Jesus had cups of wine in The Last Supper and also turned water into wine. What's up with that?

This is what I'm confused about. People (mainly Christians I suppose), say that if you believe in Jesus Christ then you can be saved and go to heaven.

These are my assumptions:
-A person can renounce their current beliefs at any time, truly believe in Jesus Christ and be saved
-heaven is a good place to be; better then earth really. So all of your life before death is meaningless when you consider heaven. It is just a means to an end.
-After you die, you presumbably have some awareness or capacity for understanding (otherwise why would care about heaven at all if you wouldn't notice one way or the other)

So, if a person can renounce their current beliefs at any time, and if all of a person's conscious life is merely a test (if you will) to get into heaven and a person's consciousness continues after death, couldn't they die and then realize that they were wrong and God did exist and renounce their beliefs then?

I'm catholic and belive in god but don't really belive in jesus was the son of God. I know he was a real peron and a good guy but nothing more then a guy who preaches the word of god. I will always belive in the one and only creator, but since i can remember i always thought Jesus was just a good mortal guy.

What if God didn't exist. Let's just say someone was able to prove God did not exist? what would happen to the world? People? I would ppreciate if answers such as " there is no way to prove....it's faith....etc" were kept out.

There are lots of movies, especially horror movies, that take things like hell and devils and demons. And though those aren't special to Christianity, you KNOW that's the hell they are talking about. Like Little Nicky, Constantine, The Ninth Gate....so is Christianity good for the media?

If you do not remember who you are it seems to me that there is no advantage to it over just dying. I am not trying to be a smart ***, I just wonder what your thoughts on this are, if you believe in it. Thanks.

Alright so asking for prayers is /supposed/ to be against yahoo's guidelines. Whatever. But a few days ago right, someone in their comments said they'd pray for me. What? I don't want you to pray for me. So I posted a 'question' asking people not to pray for me. It was deleted and a violation was sent out before it even hit the page. So you can ask for prayers, but you can't ask for no prayers?

Or, you can speak about your beliefs as a Christian...saying to the public how you love God and all...but if you say anything negative, everyone gets in an uproar.

It just makes no sense to me.

Someone said that Christians believe this and it is completely FALSE. Only those who are saved by Jesus are in heaven.

What do you think?

Many years ago, early in my ministry, I wrote an article on the growth of the LDS for a leading theological journal. In the process of researching this article I read many of the documents of the Mormon religion including the "Book of Mormon", "Pearl of Great Price" and "Doctrine and Covenants". Personally I was shocked to see how far they have departed from the orthodox Christian faith. What I found in reading and researching the material and speaking to Mormons is.........http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-S6YMuFYyaa9ESBoW5DFwEjL_HhqA?p=116

I have a dog, parakeet, and betta fish. Can any of them believe in God? If they cant what happens when they die? Can I train them to believe in God? I was just wondering. Because If we are Gods creation and so are animals, I wonder why God would only choose one of the species to believe in him.
