If the victim believed in Jesus as their Lord and Savior, then they went to heaven.
Just because they were a victim does not mean they get a free ticket. They only free ticket is Jesus.
Ironic, isn't it? I'd rather have Jesus than be murdered.

In Hamlet, the question of Ophelia's death by drowning is speculated on by the grave diggers in Act V, scene ii. The belief at that point was that since a person who kills himself cannot have been forgiven for this act of self-murder, then he should not be buried in the churchyard, so Ophelia's placement there was seen as a benefit of being high born. What's the point of being rich and famous if it doesn't make any difference? I bring that up because it illustrates the traditional view on the topic. I had a friend when I was a teenager, the old guy next door. Don Price was born with a right arm that ended just below the elbow, and yet he had medals and photographs from his career as an Olympic pistol team member. He claimed that had been a millionaire three times and lost it three times, and run a plywood factory in the Philippines during World War II. He also believed that he was the reincarnation of Ramses II, pharaoh of Egypt, who had cut off the hands of thieves, and that was why he was born short-handed. He told me, "There is a hell, and this is it." You pay your money and you take your choice. I did notice that nobody who was ever reincarnated was ever a bar maid or a stable worker in a previous incarnation, or an opposum, for that matter.

I think there is a fundamental faith mindset that believes this---this is why some women in the news in the past have killed their children believing they were doing "good" deeds for them by murdering them at such an early age they would be sure of Heaven. See there is no authority figure in the Fundamental Faith and so they are free to determine their own translations of Scripture or in some cases make it up.

Going to heaven is for people who will accept Gods gift of salvation through Jesus. It has nothing to do with being a victim one way or the other. but ultimately God decides who is going to heaven. It just seems smart to get right with him and not put him to the test saying "well I'll just see what happens when I die".

I believe that they will be in Heaven if they are Christians before they were murdered. Being a murder victim does not automatically give you entry to heaven.

Jesus wasn't saved by Jesus. Is he in heaven? What about all of the people before Jesus?
I can't believe it, but I agree completely with Catholic Crusader.

If the person that committed the murder was being allowed by your god to exercise his "free will" to do evil. Was the victim also being allowed his "free will"? Do the victims of evil not have free will? Are they just "collateral damage" in your god's little game of good vs evil? Either your god is a sadistic monster or he just doesn't exist which is it?

Well personally I don't think there is a god/heaven/hell so the question is flawed.
But it's b.s. to say that just because you're murdered, you're not allowed into heaven. It's not like anyone wants to be murdered. By that same token, I suppose that if there really is a heaven, you don't get a "get into heaven free" card just because you happened to be murdered.
I don't think that the cause of death should enter into it at all. If there is a heaven, God has to decide what the requirements are, and obviously it's not anyone else's place to say yes/no.

Going to heaven has nothing to do with the fact that someone might have been a victim of murder.
