That might be interesting for a few lives, but after that... I need to just be dead...

I think there are some things that we "remember" from past lives... I mean haven't you ever just known something without having been taught? of course the lessons I refer to would be the spiritual ones...I mean it's not like we could learn French in this life, German in the next, spanish after that and then the next life be multi-lingual... but for example, if one of the spiritual lessons to learn is one of morality, and you've learned it, you may be a more ... morally conscious person than someone who hasn't mastered it yet... without fear and teaching... I've seen kids that are "wise beyond their years" so I guess I beleive that it comes from somewhere...

But then what would be so good about reincarnation? We would be confused about who we were and what not, and get mixed up in our past lives. We might try to find others from then, and scare them to death saying "Hi, I' your son" lol.

I think remembering too much would defeat the purpose.
We come here brand new. What we accomplish is up to us. We have strengths and knowledge that we gained from our past lives but we are not aware of them.
Sometimes we have to dig down inside to find our inner strength, be it mental or emotional it makes no difference.

Right. What's the point of learning a lesson, if you don't remember it? I'd like to have some memories of being a fish and learning not to eat floating worms.

Oh, most definitely. I can't tell you how many times I'd like to have been able to do things differently. It'd be great to have a life with all those life-lessons already hard-wired into my memory.

I think it would be more appealing if we didn't come back as humans. I'm kinda ashamed to be human. Maybe I'll be reincarnated as a cockroach...hopefully 1 that flies.

To me it would be. If there was reincarnation it seems like forgetting everything from before would be like you never existed.

What criteria would we have to suppose any such memories were of actual events? This would not even necessarily demonstrate that reincarnation was true, much less be very useful.
