I found myself in the same predicament when I was a Catholic. Ten years after I left the RCC and by the grace of Him, I began to know Him. He is real, He loves you and wants you to know Him.
Food for thought, if you believe He existed and your base for it is in the scriptures, why believe He said anything or walked anywhere if you dont believe what He said? He is real, dont get me wrong, but it is too easy to cherry pick you believe in Him, but not the words He spoke. I do wish you Gods peace in your journey.

It is a pity that you weren't better educated in your faith. What you believe was denounced as a heresy in the early Church. The belief that Jesus was merely human is called Arianism, at one time it divided the Church severely. It is a hard concept to understand Jesus as fully human and fully God. It took the Church many centuries to sort out this complex belief. If you do not believe Jesus was God, then what do you understand about the Eucharist? I would suggest you make an appointment to see a priest and try to resolve your issues and doubts. You may also want to read the relevant sections of the Catechism of the Catholic Church so you understand what the Church really teaches about Jesus.
Peace

If you don't believe in Jesus as the Son of God, then you are not a Christian. You will be in the same hand basket with the rest of the unbelievers, come Judgment Day. Just believing there is a God is not enough. Satan believes there is a God. You need to get real and get saved..your life could be taken from you at any time....none of us are guranteed to wake up tomorrow morning.

no offense to your religion but that's the way they want you to think i was raise catholic and i didn't learn about Jesus other than being a baby on Christmas and raised on Easter but i did know the mother and the saints very well you cant believe in the father without the son so i pray that you read your word and ask the lord to help you seek the truth cause you will be going the wrong way if you continue to think he was nothing more than a good guy i also suggest going to a church other than catholic just to see not to say you should ditch your religion but you should see how it is with out all the traditions good luck

Hi ... I can sympathise with your doubts and questions. I have had many of them myself in my Christian journey.
I think, though, before you give up, you should look for answers. In order to be intellectually honest, you should really examine who Jesus was, and don't abandon him so easily.
I would like to suggest two excellent resources for doing some research:
"The Case for Christ," by Lee Strobel
"More Than a Carpenter," by Josh McDowell.
Both were written by former non-believers who found the evidence for Jesus Christ being God overwhelming, and both became Christians. You can probably find both books at Amazon.com, because both authors are very well-known.
Please be willing to look ... at least ... before you walk away.
God bless you! : )

If you believe on the one and only God who created heavens and earth every thing in between these two, and if you worship God only, believe me you are Muslim. This is the definition of Muslim - One who submits to his creator, one who lives his life according to the teachings of God and his messenger or Prophet.

The man that the fictional character Jesus was based off of probably existed as there is a little bit of evidence of his existance. There isn't a single scrap of evidence of a god nor of Jesus' divinity.

catholicism is not true christianity - but you have to remember, Jesus existed from the beginning of time, not just 2008 years ago - in Genesis, it said "Let US make man in OUR image" - it also says in the book of John that the word (Jesus) was with God at the creation of the earth - so Jesus was simply God in man's form when he came to earth - so if you believe in the father, you should also believe in the son

God is one, but isn't a solitary being, because God is a UNITY of three persons-an eternal family! Our earthly families are created in the image and likeness of God who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit!
Jesus Christ (God the Son incarnate) is the cornerstone of Catholicism/Christianity! Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. John 14:6
