It is comforting to know that with God, all trials and tribulations have a divine purpose. We are never alone. He told His disciples that they would be scattered, leaving Him alone, and yet "I am not alone, because the Father is with me. "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. "In the world you have tribulation, but take courage, I have overcome the world." (John 16:32, 33)

2 Cor 12:9 would be one of many but it says "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness." Therefore I will boast about my weaknesses, that the power for Christ may dwell in me.'
I have so many weak areas in my life. I am a recovering alcoholic. I suffer from bipolar. I've been down some rough roads. But God has used all these weak areas to prove His power and I wouldn't trade them. Sometimes I get discouraged but I always am given His power to overcome when I ask.

Psalm 90:12 "teach us (me) to number our (my) days, that we (I) may apply our (my) hearts unto wisdom"

I don't want to live a foolish life of selfishness and ignorance. I want to study YVWH's word and contribute something to others, love others. This verse is very dear to me.

I can't say that I have one favorite, but I can say that I favor the stories of the old testament, and I enjoy the genealogy that is included in the old testament. However, I do enjoy the 4 Gospels too....since they tell us the precious story of our Lord and Savior's life.
