The basic difference between Islam and other religions is in attributing human form to God. The latters say that it is possible for God to take human form. Still all claim to believe in the oneness of God.

Now if I ask the atheist question "if it is possible for God to take human form and create a river so long that he cannot swim across it" how can any religion other than Islam satisfactorily answer it?

So there was a question recently about if men should have any choice when it comes to abortion. Let's explore this a little more.

Most pro-choicers said that men have no right in the decision, and his opinion does not matter. It is safe to say then that if he has no choice over the final decision, then he can not have any of the responsibility of the decision made, correct?

That brings about a stick situation. If he has no responsibilty in the decision, how can he be force to take responsibilty if the women decides to have the baby? If you say he does have a responsibilty, then he has a valid argument for having a say in the outcome of the pregnancy.

So you are left with two options.
1) Men have no say in the matter, so no responsibility one way or the other. If she has an abortion, he is guilt free. If she doesn't, he has no obligation to help out.

2) Men do have a say in the matter, and then men can decide for a women if she is having an abortion or not.

1. you never conceive the child or 2. you do conceive and abort. Either way, the child was not going to live.

Thoughts?

I'm not saying I don't personally feel there is a difference. I am asking this question in this manner in order to illicit a wide range of answers. Thank you for your civility.

I've met and spoke with many who say they must stimulate themselves with pornography or thoughts of perversion to be sexually gratified. Some admit it openly---Most Don't.

Do you believe that the current structure of media and political correctness is driving humans into perversion? Back when boys were told they should not (X??) and girls were taught to be chaste; men & women enjoyed a spiritual and sexual bond not often known today. Were previous generations correct in teaching the young to withhold their urgings or should their be more perversion? (you tell me). I (personaly) think the last couple of generations have failed their kids. The truth is that men and women cannot enjoy each other properly when their minds are stuck in perversions..... There is no fantacy in sexuality! Sexuality only works properly between a Man & Woman and only then in a loving marriage relationship!! Answer how you feel you must. I asked this? in R&S. Don't answer arbitraily. Sex is for H&W! ?????

So why do states consider killing the fetus a second Capital Murder charge in cases when a pregnant woman is killed? The fetus cannot be seen as viable and a human in one instance and non-viable and human in another, right? Your thoughts?

all their blabber are supposed to be funny when other people say it, but maybe fundies don't deliver their jokes right. when some people say, "oh, go to hell", it doesn't sound offensive at all, but when they are the ones who say those words, it's just so annoying.

what do you people think, does it have something to do with how fundies deliver their jokes?

...make sure kids get a real sex education, free birth control, and start implementing some real punishments for rapists? Sure that leaves a lot of other issues out there, but these simple measures would significantly cut down on demand for abortions. Shouldn't you be promoting that if you are "pro-life"? Or just think it would be easier to avoid the issue to begin with, when possible?

If you're really against abortion, why not help prevent them by helping women avoid unplanned pregnancies to begin with? Why is a significant portion of our society still avoiding these simple "solutions"?

Let do this for nine days and see what happens (His feast day will be during this). Its guaranteed to work. Now, I'm not Catholic/Christian but I've heard a lot of amazing things. Here's my research below so you have everything you need.

Post what you feel, past experiences, results to this experiment, and if you'd like you can post your request to Saint Jude:

St Jude is invoked in desperate situations because his New Testament letter stresses that the faithful should persevere in the environment of harsh, difficult circumstances, just as their forefathers had done before them. Therefore, he is the patron saint of desperate cases and his feast day is October 28.

Many people have experienced and testified to Saint Jude's help in the worst situation time of their lives. Like these many people, we have been touched and blessed by St Jude during our difficuit moment.

Yay! i found other Wiccans in my small town in rural Illinois!
although it's only two others i'm sure there are more (and one is a Wiccan Mother! ^_^ she has cute little kids) still it's cool that i'm not the only wiccan in Flora.

Now i was wondering how i can start a Pagan Pride Celebration in a christian community???

See every year this town is host to a HUGE celebration called "Jesus Day" and i thought since we can have a christian day then we should have a pagan day too, right?

so how could i get this started? (and i have all of this year to plan, it's too cold to have a celebration now)

interpretation of the Bible.. and they almost are similar in some cases.. but they follow different rules..like for example the trinity, jesus is not god, the holy eucharistic, the saturday, the concept of woman.. some of them accept woman as a pastor when the bible said the woman should be quiet and subordenate to man.. and they have many different point of views.. does jesus said go for the world and make your own church? does jesus really founded a church through peter in matthew 16:18

I'm doing a report about WHY intelligent design should be TAUGHT IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS.

I personally think that it should be taught because Science is there to DISPROVE theories.
Studying ID would disprove "Evolution".

However, I could care less if you believe in it or not as I am not here to argue whether or not it is true. I'm asking why it should be taught in public schools.

So far I have:
1. Natural Selection vs. Evolution
2. The Time that it took God to create the world
-In the Bible it states that 1 day meant 1,000 years and 1 second of God took x amount of years.

Please help!

Thanks!

But how, HOW, does that make it wrong?

I've encountered this several times now. They think that there simply must be mystery in the world. They're upset by the concept of no afterlife. And they act like that is why you shouldn't be an Atheist.

Here's the example that inspired this question:

Do you see Christians as brothers and sisters in faith? Is Islam and Christianity not very similar overall? Do you feel we share the same God/Allah? Are Christians outright sinning if they do not follow Mohamed's (PBUH) teachings? Views please!
